- Ju Sil strongly opposes her daughter Kwang Sook taking over her late husband’s brewery business. She calls the eldest brother, urging him to persuade Kwang Sook to walk away from it. However, Kwang Sook, exhausted by her mother’s resistance, insists that brewing alcohol is the only way she can cope with her husband’s passing. The process, the scent—everything about it keeps her going through the grief. Determined, she vows to make the business thrive under her leadership.

- Dong Seok, who struggles with sleep disorders, hears from his housekeeper that makgeolli from Eagle’s Brewery helped her fall asleep. Curious, he tries it himself and, to his surprise, finally gets a good night’s sleep. - One day, Kwang Sook visits the cemetery to pay respects to her late husband and unexpectedly runs into Dong Seok, who is there to visit his wife. They decide to have lunch together, though their conversation feels as incompatible as oil and water. While Kwang Sook’s bright and cheerful nature contrasts with Dong Seok’s cold demeanor, she remains unfazed. Before parting, she insists on gifting him a box of her brewery’s alcohol, urging him to give it a try.

- Beom Soo becomes a university professor, only to discover that Se Ri is one of his students. Their first encounter, however, was anything but conventional. While in the university office, Se Ri mistakenly assumed Beom Soo was a mechanic there to fix a broken printer. In the process, he accidentally spilled ink on her dress, leading to a tense exchange. Now, realizing he is her professor and the one grading her assignments, she feels utterly doomed.

- Dong Seok hosts a dinner party at his hotel and invites Kwang Sook. Wanting to surprise her, he instructs his staff to serve a specific champagne she had mentioned during their lunch.

- Kwang Sook and Ju Sil receive an invitation to a dinner party at the very hotel where Kwang Sook got married. Dressed elegantly for the occasion, Kwang Sook finally gets to enjoy the champagne she had been longing for. However, she drinks excessively, blurring the lines between reality and memory. As Dong Seok makes his rounds to ensure the event is running smoothly, he finds Kwang Sook passed out on the grass. When he wakes her, she mistakes him for her late husband, embracing him multiple times and even attempting to kiss him. Startled, Dong Seok stumbles backward in shock.
