It’s that time of the year when you can’t trust anyone, or they will make fun of you! Yes, it’s April Fools!

One great way to celebrate this day is to prank our friends and loved ones. We compiled some of the greatest pranks in K-Pop shows and K-Dramas that we think will make you laugh out loud!

1. When Red Velvet’s Irene pranked Park Bo Gum in “Music Bank K-Chart

One of the legendary MC duos of “Music Bank K-Chart” were Park Bo Gum and Red Velvet’s Irene! They were the hosts of the music show from May 1, 2015, to June 24, 2016, in a time when fans watched music shows not only because of the performers but also because of the MCs!

The two have a lot of cute and funny moments, but one of my favorite moments happened during the April 1st episode of “Music Bank K-Chart” in the year 2016. Red Velvet Irene pulled a prank on Park Bo Gum when the show was on air!

In the photos, you can see that Park Bo Gum is happily hosting “Music Bank K-Chart” when Irene collapses on the floor! We can see how flustered he is, but he still makes sure to take care of Irene by holding her.

In the end, Irene got up laughing, and Bo Gum was in disbelief! He can’t believe that he fell for Irene’s prank. I really love this “Music Bank K-Chart” duo!

2. When Twice and Red Velvet Members hid Seulgi’s phone during “2018 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Chuseok Special

Idol Star Athletics Championships, most commonly known as ISAC, is one of my favorite shows where we see idols play and compete in different sports and games.

It’s the variety show where we find out that these idols are friends with one another because of their interactions! During the “2018 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Chuseok Special,” we saw one of the most legendary interactions and pranks ever!

Thanks to a video captured by one of the fansites of the girls, we saw how some of Twice and Red Velvet members hid Seulgi’s phone when she left it on the ground!

She first suspected Twice Nayeon, who was talking with Red Velvet Irene, and Yeri, but Nayeon didn’t have it. Seulgi is back to searching everywhere, but she can’t find it! LOL, poor Seulgi.

After a while, we saw Red Velvet’s Joy bringing the phone back to Seulgi. She got up and playfully followed Joy. Then at the end of the video, we saw that the real culprit was Twice’s Jeongyeon, who hid Seugi’s phone when she was not looking!

It’s a really, really fun interaction! While searching for Seulgi’s phone, we also saw how Nayeon taught Irene, Yeri, and Seulgi some of Twice’s choreography. I really love Twice & Velvet’s friendship!

3. When Dan Oh Thinks She’s the Main Character but actually a side character in “Extra-ordinary You

One of my favorite K-Dramas ever is the high school fantasy romance “Extra-ordinary You,” starring Kim Hye Yoon and SF9’s Rowoon!

“Extra-ordinary You” is a fantasy romance set in a manhwa (webtoon), so the main characters are webtoon characters. In the first episode of “Extra-ordinary You,” the drama made us believe that Dan Oh (Kim Hye Yoon) is the female heroine in the manhwa, BUT at the end of the second episode, we see that it’s actually Yeo Joo Da (April Lee Na Eun)!

Dan Oh can’t believe that she’s just a side character, which made her feel so betrayed. A different kind of prank from the writer of the webtoon she’s in!

4. When Joon Hyung Pranked Bok Joo By Using Her as Shield in “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok-joo

One of the most loved K-Drama couples ever is Kim Bok Joo and Jung Joon Hyung of the romantic comedy “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok-joo“! The two are loved for their playful banter and cute relationship that everyone can relate to.

In one of the episodes of “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok-joo,” Bok Joo and Joon Hyung were seen waiting together in front of a water puddle. Joon Hyung saw that a car was coming, so he decided to pull a little prank on Bok Joo. He said “watch out” to Bok Joo.

Bok Joo smiled at the thought that Joon Hyung would protect her from the water splash, but it turns out that he used her as a shield so he wouldn’t get dirty, LOL. Bok Joo felt so betrayed!

These are just some of the best K-Drama and K-Pop pranks! What’s your favorite?

Once again, Happy April Fool’s Day, and let’s spend this day by coming up with the greatest pranks by getting some ideas from our favorite K-Pop idols and K-Dramas on KOCOWA!
