[DISCLAIMER: MILD SPOILERS AHEAD!]

Complicated storylines and intense dramas are only going to make things worse after going through a tiring day.

On days like this, what we need is a drama that isn’t too complex or emotional and has no villain characters plotting against each other all the time, which stresses us out.

Such dramas would heal the tired soul. Watching these innocent characters with no ulterior motives find happiness through untainted ways leaves us satisfied and all healed up.

Here, we recommend 3 dramas that fit the bill perfectly!

Your House Helper

MAIN CAST: Ha Seok-Jin, Bona, Lee Ji-Hoon, Go Won-Hee, Seo Eun-Ah, Jeon Soo-Jin.

PLOT: House helper Kim Ji-Hoon (Ha Seok-Jin) is a handsome man with outstanding housekeeping skills. Four high school alumni become his new clients. Im Da-Young (Bona) is an intern at an advertising company, Jewelry designer Yoon Sang-Ah (Go Won-Hee) just broke up with her boyfriend, Han So-Mi (Seo Eun-Ah) has androphobia, and Kang Hye-Joo (Jeon Soo-Jin) has issues with her male friend that she lives together with.

House helper Kim Ji-Hoon doesn’t just remove the dust and dirt in a house, he deals with the delicate emotions and attachment that these owners have toward their belongings.

One of Kim Ji-Hoon’s humane ways of clearing the clutter is through communicating with the items. Should you tell them to wait and sit around in the house longer? Or do you tell them that your heart doesn’t flutter anymore when you see them?

While cleaning helps with clearing the mind, it’s definitely not a good idea to do that after experiencing a long day. Here, watching these characters clear the clutter in their messy houses could help us feel satisfied and healed in a similar way.

The drama also gives great housekeeping tips at the end of some episodes for viewers who are motivated to start cleaning after watching it.

The only bad thing about the drama is, I would say, it makes you wish you could hire a handsome housekeeper to clean up your house for you, and you know, maybe date him?

Wok of Love

MAIN CAST: Lee Joon-Ho, Jang Hyuk, Jung Ryeo-Won.

PLOT: Doo Chil-Seong (Jang Hyuk) is the owner of the Chinese restaurant Hungry Wok. The restaurant was started up to provide his former prison mates jobs but it isn’t doing very well. Two people go to Chil-Seong to ask for help after their lives turned upside down overnight. Seo Poong (Lee Joon-Ho), a former star chef, and a broke heiress, Dan Sae-Woo (Jung Ryeo-Won).

It’s food! These delicious-looking dishes with vibrant colors would never fail to please the eye. It does make one hungry after looking at these mouthwatering dishes, but that could mean these beautiful plates of food empty out all the bad things we have on our mind, along with anything left in our stomachs…?

To add, the female lead Dan Sae-Woo is a cute, bubbly girl that will light up anyone’s life through her unpredictable actions.

Here’s an adorable scene:

Still 17

MAIN CAST: Shin Hye-Sun, Yang Se-Jong, Ahn Hyo-Seop.

PLOT: Woo Seo-Ri (Shin Hye-Sun) gets into a traffic accident and falls into a coma at 17. She wakes up 13 years later while her mental age still stays as a 17-year-old girl. Gong Woo-Jin (Yang Se-Jong) developed a trauma 13 years ago and dislikes having relationships with others because of that.

Time has stopped for 13 years for some people because of a tragic traffic accident. Gong Woo-Jin thinks it’s his fault for getting the girl he likes, Woo Seo-Ri, involved in the accident.

Woo Seo-Ri has a big dream, she dreams of becoming a violinist when she grows up. But waking up from a coma at 30 years old crushed that dream of hers.

Woo Seo-Ri, however, sees that in a positive way.

While not everyone wakes up from a coma 13 years later, the drama still tackles relatable life problems in its own heartwarming way. Equivalent to making a mistake or taking a wrong route in life, Woo Seo-Ri says her coma was merely an “intermission”–an interval between parts of a play or concert. She sees that as taking a break and she’ll get back soon like how plays or concerts begin again after their intermissions end.

Woo Seo-Ri is also a really sweet and innocent girl that everyone would love. She apologizes for startling others unintentionally and for having a hard head (Aww…) It warms up one’s heart just by watching her innocent acts.
