“Young Lady and Gentleman” is definitely on top of my best K-Dramas list so far, BUT the recent episodes might have really changed that a bit. And it’s not only the episodes that affected my personal ranking, but they also affected the viewership ratings overall.

The ratings of this series started off very strong and steady in the 30s but recently decreased down to the 20s. It can be because of the long hiatus due to the Winter Olympics, OR it can be because of the ridiculous twists that the writer keeps throwing in every other episode.

We now only have a few episodes left until the end, and hopefully, the story finishes strong and has a happy ending like everyone is hoping for! I might be a bit sad about not having to wait for my weekend K-Drama anymore, so here is the list of K-Dramas I will be going to watch after “Young Lady and Gentleman” finishes airing.

“Five Enough”

Sang Tae (Ahn Jae Wook) is a single father who is a marketing team leader for a fashion brand and also is raising two children after his wife passed away. Mi Jung (So Yu Jin), who works at the same fashion brand, is also a single parent raising kids by herself. Her ex-husband cheated on her with her best friend and left their family just like that. Mi Jung cannot tell this to her kids so to this day, the kids think the father left for America to work. Sang Tae and Mi Jung never thought they would love again, but fall in love with each other.

“My Golden Life”

It’s not been long since people started to discuss different ranks within society. Children’s ranks are decided from birth according to the power and richness of their parents. Everyone dreams of becoming successful and leading a wonderful life, but the glass ceiling is solidified even more nowadays. In this drama, a girl struggles to climb up the ladder of hierarchy. In the process, she realizes how to seek true happiness in her own way. She’s been brought up in an ordinary household, by hard-working parents who sacrificed their own happiness for their children’s happiness. However, no matter how hard she tries every day, there is a gap that cannot be closed. One day, she is given a choice to change her life. This drama will console those who are still hoping and dreaming of escaping a rock bottom life.

“Prime Minister and I”

South Korea’s youngest prime minister, Kwon Yoon (Lee Beom Soo), is a blameless politician, but he is also a widower and hopelessly inept father of three. The romantic comedy follows the prime minister’s family as stepmother Nam Da Jung (Lim Yoon A) unexpectedly fills their void.

For now, I can only think of these three dramas off the top of my head that are similar to “Young Lady and Gentleman.” If you guys can think of any more, share them with me in the comments!

  1. I loved “Young Lady and a Gentleman.” I will watch “Five Enough” because of Ahn Jae Wook. I thought “My Golden Life” was OK. Please bring us more with Lee Tae-Hwan, Lee Tae-Sung, Jeon No-Min. I dropped “Prime Minister and I.”
