HyunA Updates Fans On Her Health Condition

On September 9, HyunA posted a video on her official Instagram account, reassuring fans that she is working hard to maintain her health.

She began the video by asking, “Is everyone doing well? I’m working hard to maintain my health and I have been exercising as well. Thanks to the support of my fans, every day has been a happy one for me.”

HyunA also apologized for postponing her comeback, “This time, while preparing for my upcoming activities, I wasn’t able to keep my promise. Lots of people worked together with me on the album. I’m very sorry towards them. I have been working very hard to recover my health by gaining weight.”

She added, “I hope that everyone takes care of their health too.”

HyunA was planning to launch her pre-release single “GOOD GIRL” on August 26, and her full album later this year. However, on August 22, her agency P NATION announced that HyunA will be halting all activities and postponing the release of her new single as she had fainted multiple times due to vasovagal syncope.

Vasovagal syncope is a condition where the body overreacts to certain triggers, such as the sight of blood or extreme emotional distress. This leads to a decrease in blood flow to the person’s brain, causing fainting spells.

Last year, the singer revealed that she was diagnosed with depression, panic disorder, and vasovagal syncope on Instagram. She was first diagnosed in 2016.
