Miljenko Matijević is a globally famous lead singer-songwriter of the American rock band Steelheart. Not only was he loved by Americans, but he has a huge fan base in South Korea.
He once had a surprise appearance on one of the popular variety shows, “The King of Mask Singer,” which shocked the hosts and fans in Korea. The episode aired back in 2016 but it still remains strong with over 2.6 million views with comments such as, ”He is a living legend,” “He’s 51 years old and is still able to sing at this level, unbelievable.’
However, Miljenko Matijević’s journey did not end here with Korea. He has announced a new song that promotes Korean culture along with the beauty of hanboks, Korean traditional clothing.
“One night after watching the news on television, I was saddened to hear about the pain and the suffering of what the people of North and South Korea are going through. I turned off the television and sat down at my piano, immediately a song started writing itself before me,” Matijević _said. “The words of ‘Trust in Love’ came to me and I knew this song was meant for the Korean people. A song to help unify the Korean peninsula, with a new understanding of peace and love. I wrote the lyrics in English and then it was translated into Korean. I believe my words were beautifully translated.”

To make this happen, and to celebrate the 140 year tie between the US and Korea, the Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles (KCCLA) has joined him to smoothly convey his words into this beautiful music video to let the Korean fans know how much he cares about the people and the culture of Korea.
