If you’re a K-Drama fan, you’ve probably heard of or come across a list titled “Most Buzzworthy K-Dramas.” If not, let me fill you in on what it is and where it came from! The Good Data Corporation compiles and publishes a list of the week’s most talked about ongoing K-Dramas and trending actors and actresses. The weekly rating is determined by analyzing user engagement with content across many platforms, including news articles, community portals, blogs, videos, and social media.

So for this week’s ranking (second week of October), we’ll get to see which K-Dramas are dominating the hearts of K-Drama fans. I’ll also give a short review of the dramas I’m currently watching and whether it is recommended to watch or not!

Most Buzzworthy K-Dramas Of The Week

1. “One Dollar Lawyer”

After a Daesang-worthy performance with “The Veil,” Namkoong Min is back with another amazing drama! This SBS legal comedy marks her reunion project with Kim Ji Eun and is on the top spot for this week’s ranking!

One thing I can say about “One Dollar Lawyer” is you can never go wrong with a Namkoong Min drama! I really am enjoying the comedy and how they can make each episode so interesting

2. “Under The Queen’s Umbrella”

Just the first two episodes and Kim Hye Soo’s historical tvN drama debuted on the second spot of this week’s ranking! The series deals with the top 1% education method in Joseon to make the troublemaker princes, who cause a nuisance for the royal family, into proper princes!

I watched the first two episodes and Kim Hye Soo will always deliver. It’s a different kind of historical drama than we’ve watched before so it’s really enjoyable!

3. “Cheer Up

Han Ji Hyun and Bae In Hyuk’s SBS youth romantic comedy “Cheer Up” has earned the fourth spot for this week’s most Buzzworthy ranking! This is one of my favorite ongoing K-Dramas and let me tell you why! “Cheer Up” is a campus mystery romantic comedy that depicts the young people who come together at a college cheering squad that has fallen on hard times following its glory days.

Having seen the first six episodes, I can say that I am enjoying the drama a lot, particularly because of the themes of coming of age that it explores. Many promising newcomers are featured in the cast, and I think most of us enjoy watching campus romances, so what are you waiting for? If you want to know more about this drama, you can read the synopsis and character deep-dive here!

4. “The Golden Spoon”

Yook Sungjae’s comeback drama after going to the military is the 4th most popular drama for this week’s ranking. This fantasy webtoon-based drama stars four rising actors and actresses which are Yook Sungjae, Jung Chaeyeon, Lee Jong Won, and Yeonwoo!

Eight episodes in this drama, and I’m really enjoying the theme, acting, chemistry, and how every moment is so interesting to watch.

5. “Love In Contract”

The tvN romantic comedy-drama starring Park Min Young, Go Kyung Pyo, and Kim Jae Young is this week’s number fifth most talked-about show. It’s a story about a human helper who works as a contract marriage master. Her job is to help her client have a perfect single life.

If you’re a fan of romantic comedies with love triangles, you can check out this drama!

6. “Bad Prosecutor

Just two episodes in, EXO Doh Kyung Soo and Lee Se Hee’s KBS action comedy “Bad Prosecutor ” has made its debut on the sixth spot of this week’s Buzzworthy rankings! Since this isn’t your typical courtroom drama, I found myself thoroughly immersed in each episode.

Bad Prosecutor” is about the chaotic prosecutor Jin Jung who uses expedient action and trickery, rather than standard practices of law, to break the sanctuary created by wealth and power. This drama truly covers a wide range of genres, including legal, action, humor, mystery, and more. This is Kyung Soo’s first drama in four years, so if you’re curious about the show, you should read this to decide if it’s one you want to watch.

7. “The Law Cafe

The romantic comedy legal drama, which stars Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young, has earned the seventh spot in this week’s ranking! This is also one of my favorite ongoing K-Dramas right now because of the overall vibes of this series!

Probably my favorite thing about this is Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young’s undeniable chemistry. They are one of the best I have seen this year, and this drama is also very fun to watch! Lee Se Young’s character, Kim Yuri, is a cute and chaotic lawyer, and she’s the kind of character I really love seeing in K-dramas!

8. “Vengeance of the Bride

The new KBS daily drama “Vengeance of the Bride” is the eighth most popular drama of the week! It is a desperate revenge story of a woman who becomes the daughter-in-law of an enemy in search of her biological mother.

The drama has taken over the timeslot of the recently concluded daily drama “Gold Mask” and will also have 100 episodes! If you’re into makjangs then this is for you.

9. “Three Bold Siblings

The KBS family weekend drama “Three Bold Siblings” which stars Lee Ha Na, Lim Ju Hwan, Lee Tae Sung, and more, is the ninth most Buzzworthy drama for this week! It’s a romance drama between first daughter Kim Tae Joo and top star and first son Lee Sang Joon who is seeking happiness.

If you’re a huge fan of KBS family weekend dramas, you should definitely check out this one!

10. Blind

Taecyeon, Ha Seok Jin, and Eunji’s mystery thriller tvN drama is the tenth spot for this week’s ranking! The series follows the story of ordinary people who have unfairly become victims of different crimes, their perpetrators, and those who try to catch the perpetrators

Most Buzzworthy Actors and Actresses of The Week

Now, that we’re done with the most popular dramas of the week, let’s go with the most talked about Korean actors and actresses! Namkoong Min has earned the number one most talked Korean star of the week thanks to his amazing performance as Chun Ji Hun in “One Dollar Lawyer!”

  1. Namkoong Min

  5. Kim Hye Soo
  6. Yook Sung Jae
  7. Han Ji Hyun of “Cheer Up
