Just who stabbed Teacher Oh! And also, how dare they!

Your recaps of episodes 9 and 10 of “Undercover High School” are below.

“Undercover High School” Episode 9 Recap

Our fearless teacher is stabbed, y’all! But it seems like it was an accident. The intruder was looking for something in the apartment, and when Teacher Oh showed up the intruder panicked and grabbed a knife. After getting into a tussle with Teacher Oh, they both fell on the ground, which is when Teacher Oh was stabbed.

Luckily, Hae Seong comes in in time to find Teacher Oh and rushes her to the hospital, where we get plenty of worried, heartfelt moments. So many, in fact, that Hae Seong has to call in sick to school because he rarely leaves Teacher Oh’s side.

This does lead to some suspicions among the students because one of the students’ fathers owns the hospital where Teacher Oh is at, and she knows that Hae Seong is the one who brought her there.

The NIS team makes quick work of the evidence found in Hae Seong’s home and knows the person was an amateur because of the sheer amount of DNA left. They quickly find out that it was Teacher Lee Jun Ho who broke in and stabbed Teacher Oh.

Teacher Lee is in all sorts of trouble. He is the teacher who altered the students’ grades, and to get out of it, he agreed to get Hae Seong’s father’s notebook from Hae Seong’s house. Unfortunately, he ran into Teacher Oh, and what happened happened.

He asks the chairman to leave him alone now and not ask him to fix any more grades. Of course, the chairman doesn’t fulfill her side of the bargain and tells her henchman to kill the teacher because she is evil like that.

Her henchman drugs the teacher and takes him to a car-crushing dump site to crush the teacher while unconscious. The two NIS sidekicks discover this and try to save the teacher, but they quickly end up in the car, about to get crushed as well.

Luck is on their side, though, because Hae Seong got their urgent message and shows up to kick butt and save the day. Teacher Lee wakes up and confesses all his wrongdoings to Teacher Oh and Hae Seong. He also gives Hae Seong all the evidence he needs to end the chairman.

Hae Seong meets with the chairman in her office to basically relish in this moment of ending her. To make it extra sweet, Teacher Lee’s confession is on the news at the same time, and the NIS comes in soon after to seize all the chairman’s things.

All that is left is to find out the 4th ghost story, so Hae Seong asks his friend. However, the friend does not know the 4th story, all he knows is that the fate that befalls the person who finds out the 4th story is that they disappear.

With the chairman gone, the students take more happy responsibility in the school to make it a place they are really proud of.

However, the big twist at the end is that, amidst huge fanfare, the chairman comes back to the school and expells Hae Seong!

Side Story

  • Ye Na tells her mother she wants to earn the top spot and take the math test without help. The chairman is like, lol, no.
  • Hae Seong is super cold towards his uncle because he thinks his uncle might be a spy, but ends up thinking that can’t be right and forgives him.
  • Uncle and Hae Seong deduce that Director Kim is the spy.

“Undercover High School” Episode 10 Recap

No one knows how the chairman is back and why she expelled Hae Seong! The students all crowd around Hae Seong’s desk, wondering what is going on. Hae Seong tells them not to worry about it and to just work hard in school.

It turns out that Director Kim most likely got the chairman reinstated at the school. But to make matters worse, money is planted in the NIS team’s office, and a sudden search and seizure by Internal Affairs leads our team into getting dismantled when this money is discovered.

Now it’s time for the chairman to call and gloat in her evil reach and all she can do to the people he cares about. Teacher Oh will be next if he doesn’t stop interfering.

Hae Seong takes a moment to stop and think about this over a drink at an outdoor bar. Teacher Oh meets him there to offer some words of encouragement. But in a very Teacher Oh way because she basically says, “Are you a chicken? Am I a damsel in distress? Don’t worry about me and do what is right!”

Meanwhile, the school is turning dystopian as the chairman makes several changes to reward high performers and punish low performers. One of these changes is in where you sit in the cafeteria and what food is served to you. The high scoring kids get all the best food.

Cousin Ahn Yu Jeong is Hae Seongs’s “eyes on the inside” and reports all of this back to him.

The NIS team regroups at Hae Seong’s house to try and complete the mission. They need to find the gold to stop the chairman. Hae Seong tells them the chairman read his father’s notebook. He also got a yearbook from the school, given to him by Teacher Oh, that shows that his father used to work there.

The book has a collection of writings, and one of the writings might be the 4th ghost story! The only suspicious thing is the story has a computer in it, but computers weren’t used in Korea in the 1950s. Hae Seong believes there never was a 4th ghost story, it was made to confuse people to keep them from finding the gold.

So, what they need to do is figure out the meaning of the phrase in the 3rd ghost story to find out where the gold is. They set out to do that and realize that they need to get back on campus. But how will they do that?

Hae Seong has the fun plan of dressing up as a Quiznos delivery person to sneak in to check the chairman’s father’s bust but almost gets busted by the principal. Teacher Oh helps him escape.

But they have bigger issues when images get out of Hae Seong and Teacher Oh on what looks like a date! It gets all over the school and leads to the henchman going to Teacher Oh’s class to escort her out.

By Hae Seong surprises everyone by showing up at the school at that moment and telling everyone that he was in the reserves for several years and is actually a 31-year-old high school student. So call him big brother.

Everyone is impressed but also confused, and then they all swoon when he tells Teacher Oh that he likes her. Darn near the entire school is there to witness this. Even the chairman shows up and is baffled that Hae Seong got this scandal solved so quickly.

Then we cut to a flashback of Ye Na tipping Hae Seong off about what was about to happen.

We get to a pretty funny part where the NIS team gets the help of Teacher Oh’s mom’s old “Bloody Chicken” gang (not spicy chicken gang) to help them break into the high school. The gang stood guard at the front of the school so that Hae Seong could go inside to inspect the statue.

Hae Seong turns the statue and finds a compartment underneath. When he opens the compartment, he finds a secret floor to the school. He goes into the secret floor but doesn’t find any gold, what he does find is a skeleton in a room that is wearing a watch Hae Seong made for his father!

Oh no!

Side Story

  • Ye Na tells her mother that she knows Hae Seong is an NIS agent (she overheard a conversation with Hae Seong and his cousin) and asks her why she let him come to the school.
  • Teacher Oh’s mom is the leader of a tough yet hilarious gang called the Bloody Chicken gang.

What a devastating way to end the episode! And the preview makes it seem like poor Hae Seong will be miserable the entire 11th episode. Though, pretty soon, he will be back on track to find his father’s murderer and to see if the gold really exists.
