On January 4th, KOCOWA reported that Song Joong Ki was dating, and now he’s married with a baby on the way! Wow, that was fast! Who is his new wife? Katy Louise Saunders, the Italian-speaking British woman who prepped him for “Vincenzo”. That means the rumors of them dating were true.
Song Joong Ki released a letter to his fan club “Ki’s Wings” on January 30th announcing his marriage to Katy and their future baby. Read his heartfelt words below:
“Hello, this is Joong Ki.
I greet you today because I wanted to share the happiest and most important promise in my life with you. I have promised Katy Louise Saunders— who has been by my side, supporting me, caring for me, and spending precious time with me— to spend the rest of our lives together.
She has a good heart and has lived a passionate life. She is a wise and admirable person. Thanks to her, I am becoming a better person.
Naturally, we both dreamed of making a happy family. We’ve put in a lot of effort to keep our promises to each other, and we’re sincerely thankful that a precious life has come to us. So today, we’re on our way to register our marriage to start our lives as a couple based on deep trust and love.
Just like now, the two of us will look in one direction and walk beautifully together in the days ahead.
I sincerely thank all the fans who have always cherished me unwaveringly.
I will try to fly higher as an individual and as an actor with the wings of greater responsibility and passion in the future, thanks to the support and wishes of Ki’s Wings, who have been the greatest support for me throughout my acting career. After the letter’s release, Song Joong Ki’s agency High Zium Studio chimed in with more information. They let fans know the wedding ceremony will be held at a later date, and the couple is currently splitting their time between Korea and the UK.
This is shocking news, but Song Joong Ki seems content, so hopefully people will wish him and his new family well.
