I must say, watching the last two episodes, my frustration level has gone up from 6 to 10 (10 being the maximum!) This series has already given me a headache, but in the last two episodes, I just cannot bear Young Guk’s actions. Just be honest with yourself already!!! We all can tell he likes Dan Dan, and clearly, Dan Dan likes Young Guk, but why is he acting like that?!? Episode 33 and 34 Recap:
- Dan Dan Looks for Her Biological Mother
After Dan Dan found out that everything she was told about her mother was a lie, she is heartbroken. She is willing to do anything to find the person who gave birth to her. She searches her old hometown for any clues that might help her but returns home disappointed. She asks her father to give her at least the name or age of the person, but Soo Chul is very adamant in not giving her any information, and in fact, he sticks with the story of her mother a long time ago. Dan Dan yells “I will no longer be your daughter if you don’t give me any information about my mother,” but Soo Chul digs in and refuses to give her any information even if it means disowning his daughter.
- Dan Dan Meets Ana Kim
Dan Dan, knowing Ana Kim might be able to help her find her mother, meets Ana Kim and desperately asks for help. (We all know Ana Kim is the biological mother at this point). Ana Kim is also heartbroken seeing Dan Dan so vulnerable and desperate. However Ana Kim coldly rejects any favors Dan Dan asks for. But, this is not what Ana Kim truly feels, she feels terrible and breaks down in sorrow since she is the main cause of this whole chaos.
- Dan Dan Finally Finds the Answers…
Dan Dan finally finds out the real truth about her biological mother. She meets this lady that was once her neighbor, and she tells Dan Dan that her mother abandoned her and Soo Chul. She tells Dan Dan that her mother seemed like she was very ambitious and full of dreams and that she didn’t look like a typical mother figure person. Dan Dan is shocked and is full of disbelief. She resents her dad for letting her hate him for not telling the truth. She realizes that he was just trying his best to protect her
- New Person in the House!
Jo Sa Ra left Young Guk’s house, and a new house manager, Manager Kim, is hired. All the kids are very curious about the future with this new manager. But the kids are, at least, very relieved that she won’t get engaged to their father (LOL!!!! and she definitely doesn’t seem to be easygoing)
- Sa Ra is Newly in Love
Sa Ra is officially going out with Cha Gun who is a personal chauffeur. She was never treated the way Cha Gun treats her before. She is overwhelmed with happiness and finally feels like she is loved again. However, Ki Ja (Sa Ra’s Mother) is furious that Sa Ra is meeting this poor person without a stable job.
- Young Guk is a Light of Joy
Young Guk, knowing that Dan Dan is under a lot of stress, tries to take her out and help her forget about the past. He takes Dan Dan to a very nice restaurant and takes her to a beer pub afterwards, where he participates in a beer contest and ends up winning this huge, fluffy teddy bear for Dan Dan.
- Dan Dan Finds Ana Kim is Acting kind of Weird..
Ana Kim was a person who was always there to help Dan Dan. However, Dan Dan finds it strange and rather hurtful how Ana Kim is treating Dan Dan. Dan Dan wants to show her gratitude towards Ana Kim for being there for her when she needed her, but Ana Kim quite refuses.
- Se Ryun’s New Arrangement
Se Ryun and Dae Bum are still strong in their relationship even though Dae Ran strongly opposes it. Se Ryun seems to be meeting this new guy friend, Seung Ho, who she went to college with. Poor Dae Bum is heartbroken and doesn’t know what to do. This new guy friend, Seung Ho, drops Se Ryun off at her place after their date, and Yeon Sil (Dae Bum’s mother) catches them hugging each other. Yeon Sil confronts Se Ryun and asks if she is cheating on Dae Bum. Se Ryun comes to terms that this relationship cannot go on unless there is a big change. So, she decides to ask Dae Bum to elope and leave their family behind. Their social differences seem to be an ongoing problem…
- Finally Moving Forward?..
Young Guk decides to just go with his heart after a little pep talk from his friend. He then meets Dan Dan on a rainy night and happens to share one umbrella. (SO CLICHE!!!!). With the sounds of the rain, and them being so close together, Dan Dan abruptly gives Young Guk a peck. They are both very startled, and Young Guk ends up telling Dan Dan to stop crossing the line. (COME ON!!! BE A MAN AND JUST BE HONEST!)
- Dan Dan aks Young Guk to Meet her at Nam San Tower
The same method when Young Guk asked her to meet him at Nam San, Dan Dan asks Young Guk to come meet her at Nam San, if he is willing to move forward with their feelings. However, he doesn’t show up until Jennie tells Young Guk that she is worried about Dan Dan waiting out in the cold too long. Since he is worried, he goes to Nam San Tower to check on Dan Dan – but turns his back and goes home. However, after hearing on the radio that the weather will get worse later in the night he goes back to Nam San AGAIN! And finally meets Dan Dan… (UGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!)
Trailer Breakdown for Episode 35 of “Young Lady and Gentleman”:
At this point, I feel like the story is a bit too draggy with this whole Young Guk and Dan Dan thing. Young Guk needs to make up his mind and stick with it! I really, desperately hope that the relationship moves forward in the next episode. Let’s find out if it will or not on this trailer breakdown!
Young Guk tells Dan Dan it will take some time to officially call her his “girlfriend” and Dan Dan suggests secretly dating, which Young Guk finds very difficult.
Soo Chul catches Ana Kim secretly stalking Dan Dan, gets furious, and confronts her saying she doesn’t even deserve to see Dan Dan like that
Seung Ho (Se Ryun’s new guy friend) gives money to Dae Bum and asks him to permanently leave Se Ryun alone. They end up getting into a fight.
Sa Ra’s ex-boyfriend (Se Jong’s biological father) threatens Sa Ra where his child is. Cha Gun then finds out for the first time that Sa Ra has a child and is shocked.
Will the next episodes be draggy again? It seems like there will be new information like Cha Gun finding out about Sa Ra’s biological son and all that. What do you guys think will happen next?
