Lee Je Hoon debuted in 2011 in the critically acclaimed film “Bleak Night,” but first appeared on the general public’s radar in 2012 thanks to a little movie called “Architecture 101”. The movie became an instant hit because of the beautiful yet realistic way it portrayed first love. In 2016, the actor’s star power grew with the suspense drama “Signal”. To this day, the time-hopping police procedural is one of my faves. I thought nothing would ever come close to it until the first season of “Taxi Driver“.

Now, “Taxi Driver 2” is just around the corner. It’s set to premiere on KOCOWA Friday, February 17. So, what can you do to pass the time? Check out Lee Je Hoon’s other dramas on KOCOWA! We’ve got a good list, so use it to prepare yourself for season two.

Taxi Driver” (Season 1)

Kim Do Gi (Lee Je Hoon) is shattered when a serial killer murders his mother. He’s soon recruited to work for the mysterious “Rainbow Taxi” company. It’s not just a regular taxi service, though. The company carries out revenge on behalf of victims who the law fails to get justice for.

This drama absolutely blew my mind, and I think that’s the general consensus. It was gritty and dark, and it used real crimes that took place in South Korea as inspiration for the victims’ stories. Lee Je Hoon and the rest of the cast’s acting was phenomenal, so I got really attached to the characters. I can’t wait to see what happens to the gang in season two. Rewatch season one to prep!

Where Stars Land

Han Yeo Reum (Chae Soo Bin) is a new employee of the Passenger Services team at Incheon Airport. She’s bubbly and wants to do her best, but her clumsiness often gets in the way of that. Enter Lee Soo Yeon (Lee Je Hoon), a cold member of the General Planning department. His personality is at odds with Yeo Reum’s, but there’s more than meets the eye (like a Transformer). He’s got a secret no one ever imagined.

I personally haven’t seen this drama, but it’s on my list. I heard it’s charming and sweet, and Lee Soo Yeon’s secret is quite unique.

Secret Door

“Secret Door ” is a saeguk about Korea’s infamous Crown Prince Sa Do (Lee Je Hoon) and his relationship with his father King Yeong Jo (Han Seok Kyu). It takes viewers through the king’s 52-year reign and the prince’s deteriorating mental health. It seeks to pose the question: Was Prince Sa Do actually “crazy” or was he framed and lied about?

There are so many dramas and movies about Crown Prince Sa Do, I can’t keep track. He was known to be mentally unstable, superstitious, and violent, so he’s an interesting character study for filmmakers. “Secret Door” questions if he was cruel or the victim of a conspiracy. It’s an interesting topic to consider, so if you like dramas that make you rethink history, give it a try.

Plus, it stars Park Eun Bin before her “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” fame.

“Fashion King”

Kang Yeong Gul (Yoo Ah In) is a budding fashion designer who sells his clothes out of a market stall in the fashion district of Korea. He’s not confident about making it in the business until he meets Lee Ga Young (Shin Se Kyung), a determined young woman who shares his dream. Together, they try to make a name for themselves in the fashion industry among privileged contemporaries Jung Jae Hyuk (Lee Je Hoon) and Anna Choi (Kwon Yu Ri).

“Fashion King” is a classic, and one of Lee Je Hoon’s first big roles in a drama. If you want to see pretty clothes, pretty faces, and Yu Ri from SNSD acting, check it out!

If that isn’t enough Lee Je Hoon content, or if you don’t want to devote sixteen hours minimum to a drama, watch his movie “Anarchist from Colony” also on KOCOWA.
