ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo, Moonbin, and Sanha are confirmed to appear as guests on SBS “Running Man” and have recently finished recording!
KPop Group Astro’s Wish is Coming True
ASTRO members are big fans of the variety show! They have shown extraordinary fan feelings for the program to the extent that they selected “Running Man” as the variety show they would like to appear on. Now, their wish is coming true!
Yu Jae Suk, one of the cast members of “Running Man,” drew attention by saying that he wanted to recruit Cha Eun Woo as a new member when Lee Kwang Soo left the show! ASTRO will go on the variety show ahead of their third regular album, ‘Drive to the Starry Road,’ and start their comeback activities!
This is Cha Eun Woo’s Return to Variety Shows
This marks Cha Eun Woo’s first SBS variety appearance after leaving “Master In The House” in June of last year. To those who are not familiar with the variety show, “Master In The House” is a variety program where the cast members spend two days and one night together with reputable figures of various fields or professions, known as Masters, to gain knowledge and wisdom that they can emulate in their own lives.
Cha Eun Woo is one of the former cast members of “Master In The House” together with Shin Sung Rok, and it currently stars Lee Seung Gi, Yang Se Hyeong, Kim Dong Hyun, and Eun Ji Won.
Cha Eun Woo is No Stranger to Variety Shows
Cha Eun Woo is well-loved in the entertainment industry! He has hosted a lot of year-end shows such as the “MBC Music Festival,” “KBS Song Festival,” and “SBS Entertainment Awards.” Eunwoo was also a cast member of the SBS sports variety show “Handsome Tigers“! Handsome Tigers is a real basketball entertainment program that starred legendary basketball star Seo Jang Hoon as a head coach to revitalize Korean basketball, where celebrities who love basketball are recruited to form a basketball team!
Eunwoo is one of the recruited competent players alongside other celebrities such as Lee Sang Yun, Julien Kang, Kang Kyung Jun, Kim Seung Hyun, Showry, Seo Ji Suk, and Yoo Seon Ho!
ASTRO Members Love Guesting on Variety Shows
Like Eunwoo, the other ASTRO members are also loved as variety stars! The popular boy group has guested on multiple variety shows such as “Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook,” “Weekly Idol,” “The King of Mask Singer,” and “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Chuseok Special.”
“Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook” is a pop music program that is both a talk show and a live music show hosted by Yu Hui Yeol, also known as Toy! Each week, various musicians from different fields perform their music and talk with Yu Hui Yeol. In “Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook” episode 427, ASTRO members went to the show to promote their new album for the first time!
Yu Hui Yeol enjoyed talking and listening to the group’s performance, saying that Astro is a refreshing and vibrant group. He even joked that he and Eunwoo should not meet three times because they are doppelgangers! There’s a saying that doppelgangers die when they meet three times. It was really a fun encounter!
Cha Eun Woo Sang a Special Song he also Co-Wrote
Cha Eun Woo also sang the theme song for his web drama “Together,” and he co-wrote the lyrics! Eunwoo sang the song while playing the piano and everyone fell in love with his angelic and calming voice. I also can’t stop looking at him because he’s that BEAUTIFUL.
ASTRO also went to “Weekly Idol“! “Weekly Idol” is a popular comedy and variety show where we can see a new side of our favorite idol group members. On “Weekly Idol” they participate in challenges, take on intriguing competitions, and show us their best moves as they dance to different songs! In “Weekly Idol” episode 434, ASTRO visited the show to promote their comeback and performed their title track Blue Flame!
ASTRO Members are Athletic
Another program ASTRO went to is ISAC (Idol Star Athletics Championship), an MBC variety program where we can observe different idol group members’ talents and athleticism! It’s entertaining to see different idol interactions and our favorite idol stars’ passionate moments that will be commentated on by professional sports stars!
In “2019 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Chuseok Special,” ASTRO members went to compete with different idols. One of the highlights is the Ssireum battle between ASTRO Moonbin and SF9 Hwiyoung, and Moonbin won the battle!
Another talented member of ASTRO is San Ha, who also competed in “The King of Mask Singer,” an MBC music competition program where contestants are given detailed masks and gloves to wear to conceal their identity, thus removing popularity, career, and age factors that could lead to prejudiced voting. San Ha sang Paul Kim’s ‘Every Day Every Moment,’ and everyone was amazed by his beautiful voice and vocal technique! That’s ASTRO’s maknae!
