Seeing a wedding in K-Dramas is always so exciting! *Spoilers ahead* I would have NEVER imagined Hae Joon and Yoon Jae would get married when I first started this drama. But here they are, getting married! However, if you were keeping up with the recaps, the last trailer showed a sign of someone being pregnant, but nothing covered that in the latest episodes. So strange!
Anyway, let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 33 and 34 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.
“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 33 & 34 Recap:
- Soo Jung’s Mother is Severely Ill
Soo Jung’s mother suddenly collapsed and got everyone worried. The doctor told Soo Jung that the situation was not looking good. Soo Jung’s mother will be going under intensive care.
- Yoon Jae Complains About Hae Joon
It is very typical for a couple to get into fights during the process of getting married, and this couple is not an exception. Yoon Jae is caught in between his mother and Hae Joon and complains about how complicated things are with these two. Hae Joon gets a good news call from a hotel that she wanted to get married at, that there was one time-slot canceled at the end of this month, and that date is available. Hae Joon tells this to Yoon Jae with immense joy; however, his mother, Kyung Ae, thinks otherwise. Kyung Ae got all worked up by this and expresses that the end of this month is way too early for their marriage. Hae Joon is already in the process of picking her dresses and everything, but she was stopped by Yoon Jae’s phone call. He discreetly asks her to talk to his mother instead of him being the middleman.
- Hyun Jae Consoles Mi Rae
After finding out about her mother’s family secret, Mi Rae was having a hard time. To make the situation worse, her aunt Jin Ju tells her that it is unnatural for a mother to keep a family secret even from her own daughter, and that is because Soo Jung never had a proper, normal mother and daughter relationship herself growing up. This really hurt Mi Rae’s feelings. Hyun Jae visits Mi Rae to comfort and console her. Hyun Jae also seriously brings up their marriage, but Mi Rae is a bit taken aback because of the current events that are happening in her life.
- Jung Hoo Sends Flowers
It is the first time for Yu Na to work as a baker at her friend’s macaron shop after passing her baking exam. When she arrives, she gets a surprise gift from Jung Hoo, who was her past workplace’s boss. He sent her flowers with a message saying, ‘good luck.’ Yu Na is really touched and messages him with ‘thank you.’
- Soo Jae Works Really Hard
Soo Jae officially took the job offer that his boss suggested and is now working as a full-time cleaner at a building. It might not be the best job that is preferred socially, but Soo Jae seems to be happy. Soo Jae takes his coworker to the macaron shop, but the boss sends him away knowing that Yu Na and Soo Jae were once a couple, things might be uncomfortable if they have an unexpected encounter. The macaron shop’s boss asks Yu Na if she is okay with seeing Soo Jae and that she cannot keep sending Soo Jae away whenever he wants to visit the macaron shop. Yu Na tells her it is okay for Soo Jae to visit.
- Hae Joon Invites the Three Brothers to Her Place
Hae Joon invites the rest of the brothers to her place for a dinner party. Hae Joon prepares food for them and greets them with joy. The three brothers and Hae Joon drink wine together and have a great time. Hyun Jae gets interrupted by Mi Rae’s sad phone call; she tells him that her grandmother passed away.
- Soo Jung Faces an Uncomfortable Truth
While she is leaving the hospital to go back home, she gets a call from the hospital that her mother just passed. She rushes back to the hospital and faces her mother on the bed, cold. Soo Jung wails, regretting the fact that she was not able to say her last words to her mother. She reminisces about the past when she spoke harshly of her, and she regrets it immensely. All her family members come and say goodbye to the grandmother.
- Hae Joon Takes Kyung Ae to Lunch
To get closer to Kyung Ae, Hae Joon invites her to a fancy lunch. When Kyung Ae spots Hae Joon in all black, Kyung Ae jokingly tells Hae Joon that she looks like a grim reaper, but Hae Joon is dressed that way because she has a funeral to attend to later on. Kyung Ae is shocked and tells Hae Joon not to attend a funeral due to an old myth that any negative energies must be avoided at all costs before a happy event like a wedding.
- Kyung Chul Visits a Police Station
Kyung Chul visits a police station to share some good news. It seems like Kyung Chul has frequently visited the police station due to his missing child in the past. Kyung Chul tells Min Ho that he is super happy for Yoon Jae’s marriage, but at the back of his mind, he feels guilty to be this happy not knowing where his daughter is right now.
- Everyone is Caught Up on Superstition
Hae Joon goes on a wedding dress shopping where her brother-in-law tags along. Mi Rae also joins since she was Hae Joon’s personal stylist for a long time. Hae Joon’s brother-in-law made things real uncomfortable when she brought up about the stupid, old myth that whoever recently attended the funeral could not attend the wedding. Therefore, Hyun Jae should not come to the wedding. Mi Rae hears this and adds that, if that is true, then she won’t attend. Hae Joon thinks everyone is overreacting and is just a little too superstitious. She just talks to Kyung Ae how she feels and tells her that she really wants Mi Rae to come.
- It’s Finally D-Day!
Yoon Jae and Hae Joon’s wedding day is here! Hyun Jae and Mi Rae also get ready to go to the wedding. Mi Rae will be receiving Hae Joon’s bouquet.
