In the last two episodes, I really want to highlight the two very good news within the family. I don’t want to spoil too much, so please enjoy the following recap!
Let’s highlight the key recap points from episodes 41 and 42 of “It’s Beautiful Now”.
“It’s Beautiful Now” Episodes 41 & 42 Recap:
- Hyun Jae Can’t Take It No More!
Hyun Jae storms into Mi Rae’s office to tell her how he feels and that he can no longer bear their relationship break. He asks her to move in with him and takes her somewhere that Mi Rae designated. They were at a place where their very first fight was taking place. Mi Rae is steadfast about not moving in with Hyun Jae, and he just cannot understand why and asks her why it is so easy for her to give up on this relationship just like that. Then Mi Rae finally drops a bomb and tells him to break up. She explains to him that without Hyun Jae, she does not want to live, but with him, she knows she will hurt all their loved ones. She comes back to her office and sobs… Hyun Jae is also sad, but the way he deals with it is a little different than Mi Rae; he goes out for an aggressive run. Soo Jae and Kyung Ae visit Hyun Jae to console him but are surprised to see Hyun Jae doing just fine. His place was super tidy, unlike what Min Ho described before.
- Soo Jung Opens Pandora’s Box
Min Ho handed Soo Jung a box full of letters that Kyung Chul wrote to her on every Soo Jung’s birthday. Even though he had lost his daughter, he has never forgotten her and has written her letters each year. Soo Jung opened the box and saw a picture of her and her parents and all the letters her father wrote to her all these years. She cannot express how touched she was reading these precious letters. She shed tears and called Kyung Chul to meet up with her. Kyung Chul was with immense joy since it was the very first time Soo Jung had called him first. Soo Jung called him out to tell him that she doesn’t hold a grudge against him anymore and also is very thankful that he did not let go of hope to find his biological daughter. She regrets the fact that she registered her DNA so late and if she hasn’t then Kyung Chul would have found her way sooner. Both of them seem to get closer.
- Hyun Jae Calls Soo Jung
Hyun Jae calls Soo Jung to tell her he wants to meet up with her and Min Ho. Hyun Jae visits Mi Rae’s place and tells Mi Rae’s parents about their current situation. Hyun Jae courageously tells the family how much he loves Mi Rae and the only reason why Mi Rae is evading this situation is not because she doesn’t love Hyun Jae but because she wants to protect Soo Jung. Hyun Jae asks for permission for their relationship and tells them he is going to tenaciously visit them until things go back to how it was. Soo Jung grabs Hyun Jae by the hand and genuinely apologizes.
- Soo Jung Cleared Up Things with Kyung Chul
When the foster mother told Soo Jung that the tattoo on her arm was a sign of abuse from her biological parents, she believed that all along. However, when Kyung Chul showed her the same tattoo on his ankle and told her it was a symbol that represents the father and daughter, she now got things cleared up with Kyung Chul. She then tells him to let go of the guilt because she thinks that her foster parents took her impulsively. Kyung Chul sob about the fact that he didn’t lose her but someone intentionally took her away. Anyway, the conversation wraps up when Soo Jung tells Kyun Chul that she would like to continue her life as Soo Jung not Eung Jung, (her original birth name) and she wishes Mi Rae happiness.
- Soo Jae Misses Yu Na
Soo Jae saw this cute couple on the street and reminisced about the old days with him and Yu Na. He visits Yu Na at her macaron shop but spots Jung Hoo there also. Soo Jae had no choice but to watch those two together.
- Kyung Chul Summons Hyun Jae and Mi Rae
Kyung Chul calls Mi Rae and tells her to visit him. Mi Rae spots Hyun Jae, Min Ho, and Kyung Chul all in the living room. Kyung Chul tells them that Soo Jung will live with her current name and status and will not go under his heritage. Kyung Chul then tells Mi Rae and Hyun Jae that there will be no hurdles anymore in regards to proceeding with their wedding plan. Hyun Jae is deliriously happy, but Mi Rae doesn’t seem to be on the same page as Hyun Jae. However, when Mi Rae was reassured by her mother, she decided to make decisions for herself and herself only. Now everything seems like it is back into place. Mi Rae genuinely says thank you to her mother.
- Hae Joon Visits the Hospital
Hae Joon felt dizzy at work and Yoon Jae was really worried about her. They both go to the hospital to check if there was something wrong but find out that she is pregnant!!! The doctor congratulates Yoon Jae, and when he shares this news to Hae Joon, they are both super happy!
- Mi Rae Starts All Over!
Mi Rae hands flowers to Hyun Jae to recover their paused relationship, and they tear up in joy and disbelief that they are finally getting married.
- Soo Jung’s Family Visits Kyung Chul’s Place
Soo Jung and the whole family visit Hyun Jae’s place to say hello. Everyone seems so at peace and happy, now that the whole family is gathered. Also, everyone roots for Mi Rae and Hyun Jae’s relationship. Then Kyung Chul visits Soo Jung’s place for the first time and talks with Jung Ja about Hyun Jae and Mi Rae’s wedding to get final confirmation. Hyun Jae and Mi Rae asked for permission, for the last time, to get married and everyone said YES!
- Mi Rae and Hyun Jae Got Married!
The D-day is here and Hyun Jae and Mi Rae are happily getting married with everyone’s blessings! During the ceremony, Hae Joon cannot stop herself from all the delicious food (we know that she is pregnant..!). While Kyung Chul was making his celebratory speech, Hae Joon was again pouring food on her plate, she accidently tripped and fell, catching everyone’s attention!

Yoon Jae complains about the fact that Hae Joon is so clumsy while carrying a baby!
Soo Jae and Jung Hoo meet one on one to have a drink. Soo Jae asks Jung Hoo how Yu Na is doing and Jung Hoo responds with, “Yes, we meet very often.”
When Yu Na visits home to visit her mom’s restaurant, she sees red stickers all over the place and senses something has gone wrong. Yu Na’s younger brother grabs her and tries to explain what happened.
Yu Na calls Soo Jae to seek help.
Kyung Ae feels left out since Kyung Chul changed a little bit after meeting his daughter. Min Ho, Soo Jung, and he often meet to go out to eat. Kyung Ae stays home, and she feels super left out.
When Kyung Chul hands Kyung Ae a pretty scarf, for a slight second, Kyung Ae thinks it is a gift to her but later finds out that it was actually for Soo Jung. Kyung Ae is baffled by the situation.
