October kicked off with a bang as numerous K-pop idols made their comebacks. As a huge K-pop fan, I understand both the thrill and challenge of having multiple favorite idols all having a comeback at the same time.

The most exciting part about this is, of course, the release of new music and the opportunity to see them perform on various music shows such as “Music Bank K-Chart,” “SBS Inkigayo,” and “Show! Music Core.” Adding to the excitement is the special appearance of our favorite idols on different variety shows. Programs such as “Home Alone” provide a unique and intimate glimpse into the personal lives of the idols, allowing us to witness their day-to-day routines or “The Manager” which offers a new perspective on the music industry, giving the spotlight on the people working behind-the-scenes who provide unwavering support to our beloved K-pop idols.

One of my favorite variety shows is “Running Man” where they can showcase not only their singing and dancing skills but also their wit and humor as they engage in various challenges and games. Of course, these comebacks don’t stop at music and stage performances but also a lot of additional content, interviews, behind-the-scenes, and more that’s why I really enjoy it whenever my favorite idols announce their comeback.

However, the only downside to having all our favorite idols making their comebacks simultaneously is the challenging task of choosing whom to support in the pre-voting and live voting of music shows, all in the hopes of securing a trophy for the week!

The Main Characters of K-Pop October

BTS Jungkook

Surely, by now, everyone is aware of Jungkook’s ongoing promotions. Who hasn’t heard of ‘Seven feat. Latto’ and the recent release ‘3D feat. Jack Harlow’? These songs have become worldwide hits, resonating across social media and in various countries. What’s remarkable is that these tracks are just singles from his upcoming album ‘Golden,’ which has already surpassed a billion streams on Spotify. Jungkook’s impact is truly amazing.

Debuted as a BTS member in 2013, Jungkook has consistently demonstrated his “golden maknae” status. As the main vocalist of the group, he is adored for his personality and visuals. With his first solo album, he has proven to be a versatile all-rounder and the ace of the group. Don’t miss Jungkook’s stunning ‘3D’ performance on “Music Bank K-Chart!”

NCT 127

NCT 127 has finally made a return after several months with their latest album ‘Fact Check.’ Known for their distinctive neo-music style, NCT 127’s comeback with ‘Fact Check’ has been highly anticipated and is receiving widespread acclaim. The song’s chorus is a standout, delivering an addictive melody. This has already translated into multiple wins on music shows like “Music Bank K-Chart,” and “Show! Music Core.”

Notably, Taeyong choreographed the chorus of ‘Fact Check,’ adding a special touch to this meaningful album. Doyoung also expressed his gratitude in the album notes, suggesting that this might be their last whole group comeback before some members begin enlisting. The thought of not seeing the whole group together is indeed bittersweet. Catch NCT 127’s electrifying performance on “Show! Music Core.”

IVE

IVE, the girl group known for consistently producing hit after hit, recently made a comeback with ‘I’VE MINE!’. Their previous title tracks ‘I Am,’ ‘Love Dive,’ and ‘After Like’ have all enjoyed success and popularity with the general public.

With ‘Baddie’ as their latest release, IVE has once again created a song that is impossible to get out of your head. To date, this latest album is now on its way to 1 million sales on Hanteo and continues to climb the charts. IVE’s excellence shines through once more. Let’s watch IVE’s impressive performance on “SBS Inkigayo.”

TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT)

TOMORROW X TOGETHER, one of the leaders of the 4th generation of K-pop, has also made their comeback with ‘The Name Chapter: Freefall.’ The long wait for new music from TXT is finally over, and their latest release has proven to be a hit. As a fan since ‘Crown,’ I’ve witnessed TXT consistently deliver one fantastic track after another. At the time of writing, their album is on the verge of surpassing 2 million copies sold, a testament to the high anticipation for TXT’s comeback.

In addition to these idols, we can also look forward to comebacks from the rising group Kep1er, originating from the survival show ‘Girls Planet 999,’ Japanese girl group XG, known for their hits ‘Left and Right’ and ‘Shooting Star,’ and many more idols making their comebacks. It’s a delightful time for K-pop fans as we get to enjoy a diverse range of music and promotions.
