In this baseball drama, Namkoong Min played a competent general manager who attempts to help his baseball team, Dreams, that has always ranked last, win. It’s all about what happens behind the scenes of baseball games–the story follows employees in the office who are managing the baseball team rather than the players and the games itself. Still, it’s just as intense and nerve-racking as a real baseball game!

Who are the main characters?

Baek Seung-Su played by Namkoong Min

The general manager of the team.

Baek Seung-Su was the leader of a variety of professional sports teams in the past. He had led the Ssireum (Korean wrestling), handball, and hockey teams. Through his leadership, his teams underwent changes and won championships. But their parent companies were always facing financial difficulties and the teams had to be disbanded after winning.

This time, he chanced upon a more popular sport–baseball. However, the baseball team that looked for him, Dreams, is a team that is always ranking last in the league.

Lee Se-Young played by Park Eun-Bin

The head of the managing team.

Being the only female and the youngest head of managing a baseball team in South Korea, Lee Se-Young is very passionate about her job.

It may be only possible for her to be hired because the company could not afford an experienced person, but she is also the only person who could stay on as the head of the managing team. She has been working with Dreams for 10 years and is most afraid of getting used to losing along with her team.

Kwon Kyung-Min played by Oh Jung-Se

The nephew of the owner of Dreams, and the Managing Director.

He is forced to work under his uncle and his uncle’s son despite how much more capable he is. Kwon Kyung-Min directs that hatred towards Dreams, the team that he is made to oversee. He attempts to hire Seung-Su and make him a puppet, but is taken aback when he realizes that Seung-Su does not do things as he wishes.

Han Jae-Hee played by Jo Byung-Gyu

A staff of Dreams’ managing team.

Han Jae-Hee is the grandson of the chairman of a traditional furniture company. His wealthy background was never a reason for his happiness. Each time the team loses, he sees how frustrated and desperate Se-Young is and hopes that the team could get better. He is surprised to see how Seung-Su could make that happen little by little.
