The long wait is finally over because the most awaited return of Lee Je Hoon’s hit 2020 drama, Taxi Driver season 2, is now premiering next month!

As a huge fan of this show ever since the beginning, I waited long enough for this because it’s the best drama material, and I am so delighted that we are getting a season two with almost all of the cast coming back except Esom, the female lead of the first season!

Since the series finale occurred about two years ago, I’m sure many have forgotten important plot points, so let me provide a quick summary to catch you up on one of the best dramas of 2021!

Taxi Driver” Season 1

The first season introduced us to the anti-heroes Kim Do Ki and the Rainbow Taxi Deluxe Squad, who are out for retribution on behalf of the customers of Kim Do Ki’s taxi service. All was going well until they ran into Prosecutor Kang Hanna who was tracking down the deluxe taxi service squad because what they are doing is considered “illegal” by the law.

In every other episode, the drama features different timely cases, gives light to different social issues, and offers satisfying execution of the revenge after. The first case involving Maria really stuck with me. The show’s success in South Korea can be attributed in large part to the fact that most of the stories are based on true events.

Taxi Driver 2” Synopsis

Season two will still follow season one’s theme of following the Rainbow Deluxe Taxi Company, which delivers justice and revenge on behalf of victims who have been wronged and cannot get help from the law.

Why We Should Look Forward To “Taxi Driver 2?”

The reason why “Taxi Driver” is one of the best K-Dramas ever is because the storytelling and acting are really top-notch. Everything about this story is fascinating and new to us, making it a tense and exciting experience from start to finish.

The production team talked about how we can expect the drama to be more intense and fun in the second season! They’ll be featuring new cases and upgraded teamwork and chemistry of the Rainbow Deluxe Taxi Company!

AND another thing I’m looking forward to in season two is seeing more of Doki and Goeun. They are each other’s support system, and we know how deeply connected their backstories are. I’m so excited that we’ll see a bit of romance between these two because Lee Je Hoon and Pyo Ye Jin have undeniable chemistry!

So if you still haven’t watched this amazing drama, I suggest you start watching the first season before season two premieres next month, and I promise you, it will be worth it! Don’t forget to mark February 17 on your calendars because Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, and Pyo Ye Jin’s “Taxi Driver 2” will be coming to KOCOWA! And if you haven’t watched the first season, all episodes are available on KOCOWA to binge right now.
