4 Reasons To Watch “Cabbage Your Life” Right Now
A Countryside Comedy Family Drama About Making Kimchi

Just hearing that first reason already makes you want to watch it, right? It is a family comedy drama set in the countryside, and it centers around making quality kimchi!
Since it is a family drama, let us get to know the Sung Family, headed by their father, Sung Tae Hoon. He is a manager at a big corporation who was forcibly relocated to a rural area to conduct research on producing high-quality kimchi for the company. His family includes Jo Mi Ryeo, the mother, and their three sons, Ji Cheon, Ji Sang, and Ji Gu. They were living in the United States but moved back to South Korea when Tae Hoon was relocated from Seoul to the countryside. Both sides were surprised by the sudden turn of events, which made the first episode very chaotic and fun to watch!
The Family Members Have Their Own Stories

Since it is a family drama, we get to know each member deeply, not just the father. Sung Tae Hoon shows us the kind of father who would do everything for the benefit of his family. Even though he knows nothing about farming or countryside life, he does not back down because he only wants to give his family a comfortable life. Jo Mi Ryeo is the kind of mom who always takes care of her children, making sure their needs are met and constantly looking after them.
The sons each have their own stories and personalities. Sung Ji Cheon, the oldest son, is a medical student who secretly drops out after realizing that medical school is not for him. As he spends more time in the countryside, he meets different kinds of people who help him figure out what kind of life he truly wants. The second son, Ji Sang, is the one who dislikes the countryside the most and wants to return to the United States. Meanwhile, the youngest son, Ji Gu, is the source of the drama’s cuteness!
The Solidarity and Teamwork in the Countryside

At first, Sung Tae Hoon started off on the wrong foot with the village chief. Because of that, no one was willing to help him since they thought he was just like other corporate staff who would destroy their land. But as time passed and they saw how sincere he was about his research, their perspective slowly changed.
The family also had many encounters with the villagers and created memories together. Ji Cheon started helping out and even found work, while Mi Ryeo spent time bonding with the women in the village. Little by little, the hearts of the countryside people softened toward the Sung Family. We are only on episode five out of twelve, so we can definitely expect more heartwarming moments between the Sung Family and the villagers!
Comedy Drama with no Dull Moment

One of the main highlights of this drama is the comedy. Tae Hoon used to be an office worker who only knew how to work behind a desk. Now, he finds himself doing the complete opposite, which is farming! Most of the funny scenes show him struggling just to grow the cabbage he is planting.
The family’s difficulty adjusting to countryside life also adds more fun to the story. We see them being amazed by rural living, while the villagers also have their own reactions to this new family in town.

What To Expect in the Next Episodes?
Since we are only on episode five out of twelve, we can look forward to seeing more of Sung Tae Hoon’s journey. Will he become a successful farmer and redeem himself in his company? Or will he choose to stay in the countryside with his family because it healed him in ways he never expected?
I am also excited to see the budding romance between the oldest son and one of the villagers because they are so cute together! I really love the vibes of countryside healing K-Dramas, and “Cabbage Your Life” is giving us everything we want.
Do not worry about where to watch it because it is available for streaming on KOCOWA+ with multiple subtitle options!
