It’s really a pity when I have to say goodbye to a K-Drama who’s been my source of happiness for weeks. This is what I am feeling right now because of “Business Proposal” ending a week ago! I know I’m not the only one who’s still missing that office rom-com.
The Office Rom-Com K-Drama is one of my favorite genres because of its fun, light, and romantic vibes! I really enjoy the popular office romance trope wherein the leads try to hide their relationship from their colleagues. It’s so funny and exciting to watch.
After a heavy day, sometimes all we need is a good rom-com K-Drama! I have watched a lot of quality office rom-coms that I think everyone would also enjoy. Check them out below!
“Into The Ring“
When we’re speaking of quality office rom-coms with no unnecessary drama and a hopeful message, “Into The Ring” is the first drama that came to my mind!
“Into The Ring” is a female-centric drama about a strong and simple woman, Goo Se Ra (Nana), who decided to run as a district representative of Mawon-gu instead of getting a job. She realizes what it takes to be an excellent public servant with her secretary/childhood friend/boyfriend, Seo Gong Myung (Park Sung Hoon)!
From childhood friends to lovers, hyper girlfriend and calm boyfriend, cute bickering, and have you seen an office rom-com where the female lead is the male lead’s superior? Really, this is one of the hidden gems that you need to watch!
“She Was Pretty“
One of the best office rom-coms ever is “She Was Pretty,” starring Park Seo Jun and Hwang Jung Eum!
“She Was Pretty” is about two childhood friends who meet again after they’ve gone through a reversal of fortunes and appearances. Set in the backdrop of a fashion magazine’s publishing office, we witnessed a one-of-a-kind romance between two former childhood friends who promised to meet again when they became adults!
When I first watched “Business Proposal,” it reminded me a little bit of “She Was Pretty” because of the young and handsome superior (Ahn Hyo Seop – Park Seo Jun), hidden identities between the two female leads, and rain traumas! However, the two are still different because, unlike “Business Proposal,” “She Was Pretty” has love triangles and second lead syndrome.
“The Secret Life of My Secretary“
The closest office rom-com K-Drama to “Business Proposal” that I know is “The Secret Life of My Secretary” starring Kim Young Kwang and Jin Ki Joo.
“The Secret Life of My Secretary” has the office romantic comedy vibes we are looking for! Like in “Business Proposal”, the drama has four main leads and two couples, which means we don’t have any love triangle! It follows the story of a director diagnosed with face blindness and his secretary, who pretended to be someone else!
The female lead in “The Secret Life of My Secretary” had a double life at first when she pretended to be the second female lead, Veronica.
“What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim”

Most of us have probably watched this drama, but it’s now the perfect time to watch it for those who haven’t! “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim” follows the story of a vice-chairman and his secretary who decided to resign from her position after working for nine years!
The drama is full of humorous, chaotic, and romantic vibes throughout the series, so you will enjoy every moment of watching it.
“Suspicious Partner
My go-to office rom-com with a slice of mystery is Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun’s “Suspicious Partner“.
The series is about a woman falsely accused of murder and a prosecutor who gets demoted because he risks his career to save her. In the drama, we see how the two work together on a mysterious case involving a sly psychopath murderer and fall in love in the process.
“Suspicious Partner” has the right amount of mystery and romance to keep you going every episode. I really enjoyed Chang Wook and Ji Hyun’s chemistry and their playful banter.
“Jugglers“
A feel-good yet underrated office rom-com is Choi Daniel, Baek Jin Hee, and Kang Hye Jung’s “Jugglers“!
It is a cute and delightful office romance about efficient office workers who are always there when their bosses need them! The story in “Jugglers” begins when a secretary, who is loyal and devoted to her work, gets appointed to work under a cynical, cold-hearted boss who doesn’t get along with anyone and has no consideration for them either.
Their romance story started when the cold-hearted boss rented the second-floor room of the female lead’s apartment! This drama is so enjoyable to watch because it will make you laugh every episode, and the lead’s chemistry with one another is fantastic!
“Touch Your Heart”
The enjoyable and lighthearted rom-com with the best leads is “Touch Your Heart” starring Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na.
Cute, fluffy, and adorable are the keywords I can use to describe this drama. A rom-com between a top actress who ended up becoming a secretary to a cold and handsome lawyer!
To everyone who wants more of Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na in “Goblin”, this is the drama for you! I really enjoyed their insane chemistry, and this drama not only has one, but four couples who made this drama more engaging to watch!
