Last year, there were so many interesting episodes that made us laugh so much that our bellies hurt. Not only that, we have seen several guests that are pleasant surprises–fans of many Korean variety shows have been saying how episodes without any guests are better. Some of the guests on “Running Man” are ready to prove that they can complement the episodes well.

If you have been missing out on “Running Man” and would like some recommendations, or would like to go through some of its best episodes again, this would be perfect for you!

Here are some episodes and guests in 2019 that we think are really memorable and would be worth your time!

Episodes

Transformation Race (Episode 463)

It’s always fun to watch the members getting scared while wandering around haunted houses, we also have guests like Sung Dong-Il who made a ghost flustered by searching his body and saying calmly, “Ghosts carry cellphones.”

Running Man’s 9th Anniversary Fan Meeting (Episodes 467-469)

Despite its controversies that almost made “Running Man” lose its original members Song Ji-Hyo and Kim Jong-Kook a few years ago, the show has been airing for the past 9 years without any hiatus! The members celebrated that by hosting a fan meeting for their dedicated fans. This meaningful fan meet is split into 3 episodes, they are filled with interesting missions and exciting performances by the members!

Joker’s House (Episode 473)

The members were given a tough challenge in this episode. They weren’t allowed to laugh at all while completing tasks given by people they meet on the street. It’s just… not possible to complete the challenge successfully even as a viewer!

Guests

Lee Kwang-Soo’s look-alike Han Ki-Beom (Episode 473)

The former professional basketball player nearly made Kim Jong-Kook fail his “Try Not to Laugh” challenge by imitating Lee Kwang-Soo‘s iconic “Mosquito Song” from the sitcom “High Kick Through the Roof.”

His surprise appearance also made Kwang-Soo fail the challenge instantly–Kwang-Soo had endured through multiple tough trials but collapsed at the sight of Han Ki-Beom. That’s just how dangerous Han Ki-Beom is when it comes to the “Try Not to Laugh” challenge.

Hyuna (Episode 476)

Sihyeon is from a rookie idol group named EVERGLOW and she was eager to appeal to everyone by mimicking the sound of a siren. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out well. The veteran idol Hyuna saw through her efforts immediately and ended the awkward atmosphere quickly with her straightforward, yet hilarious comment, “I used to work so hard on things that won’t work too.”

Hollywood Actors Ryan Reynolds, Mélanie Laurent, Adria Arjona (Episode 482)

The Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds, Mélanie Laurent, and Adria Arjona played Korean games and tried Korean food with the members on this episode. The actors are really enthusiastic when they played the games, making them one of the most memorable appearances made on “Running Man.”

After Gary had gone, RM show was quit a little boring but the brilliant producers could control the situation with new members and amazing guests..I m ever be a runner ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love Running Man. I also want to see two couples . Spatarace couple and SoChan couple….

To be honest I think I’ve been enjoying every single episode of RM since Se Chan and So Min joined the show. And it’s obvious that with so many years together (specially the former members) their chemistry seems to be getting better (if that’s even possible). That was a time that I would wait excitedly for guests, and I would skip episodes with guests that I didn’t know much (shame on me). But for the last 3 years I’ve been waiting excitedly for every single episode, with guests or with only the members themselves.
Last year we had so many memorable guests! Just wow! I must definitely agree with Hyuna, she was hilarious (not to mention that she doubted everyone during the final game) and thanks to Han Ki Beom, episode 473 was my absolute favorite of 2019 and one of my favorites of all times!
Bonus to GOT7’s Jinyoung because he was super cute to So Min after that dancing situation.

    • Hello Brooke! Thank you so much for your comment. Yeah, I totally agree! I really liked Jihyo and Gary couple but after Gary left Running Man, I was missing that love chemistry and Se chan and So min definitely filled that in 🙂
