[DISCLAIMER: MILD SPOILERS OF CERTAIN DRAMAS AHEAD!]

“Impossible! He was such an evil murderer in his previous drama! No matter how pitiful he seems in this one, he’s not going to tug at my heartstrings.”

10 minutes later, *cries 10 buckets of tears* “H-How… did he…?”

When talented actors switch from one to another completely different role in their next drama, it seems as natural as putting on a new skin (surely lots of hard work were put into it), they are so natural at it that they make viewers forget what their previous roles were about.

Let’s have a look at some of such actors!

Jung Moon-Sung

Most Recent Notable Dramas: “Haechi” as Lee Tan, “Life” as Jo Nam-Hyeong

Jung Moon-Sung (as Yook Ryong) cried in The Undateables because he couldn’t get a girlfriend. Ah, those innocent days when all he had were tears on his face just because he didn’t get to date…

In Haechi, he (as Lee Tan) likes smearing blood on his face instead. Not only that, he kills the moment he snaps and keeps a list of the people he had murdered like a cute hobby.

G-Guess no girls would want to date him this time too.

Namgoong Min

Most Recent Notable Dramas: “Doctor Prisoner” as Na Yi Je, “Good Manager” as Kim Sung-Ryong

People go to Namgoong Min (as Hoon-Nam in The Undateables) for love and dating advice in the past. As a dating expert, he used his expertise to help his girlfriend keep her job by helping her match up people in her matchmaking agency.

In the drama Doctor Prisoner that’s currently airing, criminals go to him (as Na Yi Je) to escape prison life. Plus, it’s not like he’s completely a “nice” person either.

Kwak Dong-Yeon

Most Recent Notable Dramas: “My Strange Hero” as Oh Se-Ho, “ID: Gangnam Beauty” as Yeon Woo-Young

Kwak Dong-Yeon (as Yeon Woo-Young) was such a nice high school senior that was swoon-worthy in “ID: Gangnam Beauty“, and in Radio Romance, he (as Jason) became a psychiatrist who wanted to help his best friend get over a past trauma.

To sum up what he was like in Radio Romance: The kind of guy who danced along to the music in the changing room and fell clumsily.

But unexpectedly, he became someone who needed some of that emotional help himself soon after.

With that pair of dark, hollow eyes, the now twisted Kwak Dong-Yeon (as Oh Se-Ho in My Strange Hero) doesn’t hesitate to tell his student, “Just kill yourself then.”

Kim Yeo-Jin

Most Recent Notable Dramas: “My Strange Hero” as Im Se-Kyung, “Children of Nobody” as Kim Dong-Sook

Kim Yeo-Jin (as Shim Eun-Ha in “My Secret Terrius”) led a group of housewives and showed how powerful they could be when they worked together. With her team members, she protected little children from danger several times.

Ironically, in My Strange Hero, she (as Im Se-Kyung) attempted at ruining students’ lives with her own twisted beliefs.

Kim Seo-Hyung

Most Recent Notable Dramas: “SKY Castle” as Kim Joo-Young, “Come and Hug Me” as Park Hee-Young

While Kim Seo-Hyung (as Kim Joo-Young) managed to send chills down viewers’ spine in her latest drama “SKY Castle“, she showed that not-so-twisted side of her who was nervous when she announced her wedding in “Tempted.”

Then again in Come and Hug Me”, Kim Seo-Hyung (as Park Hee-Young) never failed to curl up the corners of her mouth whenever she spoke to serial killer Heo Jun-Ho (actor Yoon Hee-Jae).

Lee Yoo-Young

Most Recent Notable Dramas: “My Fellow Citizens” as Kim Mi-Young, “Your Honor” as Song So-Eun

Lee Yoo-Young used to be gentle and soft. Not being able to find her sister made her so desperate that she cried and promised to give her salary to a gangster just to find her.

Now, in “My Fellow Citizens”, she (as Kim Mi-Young) is a detective who has solved lots of criminal cases and could possibly find anyone on her own if she needs to. Not only that, she’s also good at beating up people.

Kim Min-Jae

Most Recent Notable Dramas: “The Fiery Priest” as Lee Joong-Kwon, “Feel Good to Die” as Park Yoo-Deok

After getting reprimanded badly by his manager, Kim Min-Jae (as Park Yoo-Deok in “Feel Good to Die”) talked about how he didn’t mind it and that his pride was worthless against that monthly paycheck which helped him put food on the table.

And finally getting tired of corporate life, he (as Lee Joong-Kwon in “The Fiery Priest”) threw away his nerdy glasses and became a sly thug who points his gun at anyone not doing as he says.

MORE: Jung Young-Joo and Baek Ji-Won who had met each other in “The Undateables.”

And they met again as rivals in “The Fiery Priest” where one would ask for hints to a question deemed to be confidential and the other questions if this is a quiz show.
