“The Real Has Come!” Episodes 17 & 18 Recap:

  • Yeon Doo’s uncle has eavesdropped on a heart-to-heart conversation Yeon Doo was having with Tae Kyung. He was gobsmacked and asked over and over again whether what he heard was true or not. Tae Kyung apologizes right away, and Yeon Doo tries to defuse her uncle’s anger, but instead, Dae Sang comes running and hugs Tae Kyung. The couple is dumbfounded by such an unexpected reaction, but Dae Sang seems to thank Tae Kyung for being a real man. Dae Sang tells Tae Kyung that he is the real man trying to take care of a woman with love even after knowing the baby isn’t his. In addition to that, Dae Sang thanks Tae Kyung for loving Yeon Doo for who she is.
  • Dae Sang takes the couple to a local, street bar and drinks up to a grateful situation. He tells Tae Kyung to keep this secret from the other families until the end and that it doesn’t really matter if you are blood-related or not. As long as you have the love and the will to raise a baby, then you are the father. Both Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo have a lot on their mind. Especially because Yeon Do was telling Tae Kyung hear-to-heart how scared she is thinking of being alone after three months of their contracted relationship.
  • Bong Nim has invited Ms. Eun to Old School. Even though Ms. Eun was super reluctant to meet with Bong Nim, because of the fact that Bong Nim knows her flaw of being illiterate, she had no choice but to please her. Bong Nim actually brought Ms. Eun to Old School to persuade her to attend the school together and learn how to read before it is too late. However, Ms. Eun does not want to attend the school that common people attend. But when Bong Nim tells her that she will tell everyone else about Ms. Eun being illiterate, she had no choice but to listen.
  • The couple is a little fed up with pretending to be lovey-dovey newlyweds, but they have no choice but to play along. However, some of the family members are a little suspicious of so many things. Like they are not sleeping in the same bed and keep using honorifics with each other. So then, Tae Kyung’s mother made a reservation for a couple of yoga classes so they can get closer.
  • Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo have a heartfelt conversation, and Tae Kyung tells her to be friends, so even when they part ways after three months, he will always be there for her as a friend. As Tae Kyung genuinely cares for Yeon Doo, he is confused about why he keeps worrying about Yeon Doo when he really shouldn’t.
  • Ms. Eun finally agreed to attend Old School. She dresses up in a very fancy outfit with elegant sunglasses. When the teacher arrives (Se Jin’s father), Ms. Eun faints. She is all about ego and pride, but when she found out that the teacher is someone she knew, she was super embarrassed.
  • Se Jin, with a big motive to win Tae Kyung back, ends up drinking with him. He became super drunk, and she ends up taking him back home. Everyone was shocked to see her with Tae Kyung. When Se Jin was in Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo’s room, she takes her cell phone to try to find anything that will sabotage their relationship. She ends up finding a very suspicious message from an unknown number saying, “You are the person I really loved. I am sorry.” Meanwhile, while drunk, Tae Kyung tells Yeon Doo why she tries to run away from him.
