Needless to say, being an intern isn’t likely to be the most pleasant experience in any workplace. Internships are tough work, and not every internship ends well–depending on the boss, a short 10-12 weeks of internship can be a life-draining nightmare waiting to happen.
Being at the bottom of the pyramid, you’d be more likely to be treated like dirt, have unfulfilling and boring work waiting to be completed, and oftentimes, you might not even be paid for all that you have done! At some point in time, you might even start wondering if your boss is out to drive you crazy and force you to quit on your own.
That is not all, unfortunately. Some bosses enjoy torturing poor interns by using really creative (read: evil) ways. The latest office drama “Kkondae Intern” has some of the most awful things a boss can do! Who do you think is the worst boss?
Boss Lee Man-Shik (Played by Kim Eung-Soo)
1. Leaving mean comments such as, “Give your computer an update, and yourself as well!”
2. Stealing your idea and not admitting it.
3. Telling you to help with his son’s homework and justifying it by, “It is your job to lessen your boss’ work.”
4. Making you do work over and over again without even looking at it.
5. Humiliate you by making you admit that you can only help your colleagues by doing nothing.
6. Throwing a fit when he sees you at a company get-together.
Boss Oh Dong-Geun (Played by Ko Gun-Han)
7. Delegates tasks to you even though he could do it himself because… “I thought you’d be good at it.”
Boss Tak Jung-Eun (Played by Park Ah-In)
8. Records the number of times you have gone to the restroom.
Boss Ka Yeol-Chan (Played by Park Hae-Jin)
9. What is worse than being a busy intern? It is when you have absolutely no work to do.
10. Praising you in front of others, and shredding your work to pieces as soon as they leave.
“Kkondae Intern” is an office drama where Ka Yeol-Chan (Played by Park Hae-Jin) was badly mistreated while he was an intern 5 years ago. When he finally became a successful marketing manager in another company, his ex-boss Lee Man-Shik (Played by Kim Eung-Soo) came to work under him as a senior intern. And of course, marketing manager Ka Yeol-Chan is not going to treat him nicely even though he is known to be a really nice boss among his colleagues. He is determined to take revenge. Doesn’t it feel gratifying to watch a drama like this?
