As a K-Drama fan, it’s not new to us that some of the K-Drama actors and actresses that we know started out as K-Pop idols!

BLACKPINK Jisoo

Jisoo still cut for “Snowdrop”

First on the list is BLACKPINK Jisoo, who recently starred in the JTBC romantic melodrama “Snowdrop.” Snowdrop is not Jisoo’s first acting project! She had a cameo appearance at the KBS romantic comedy “THE Producers” and a special appearance at the tvN historical fantasy “Arthdal Chronicles.”

With “Snowdrop,” Jisoo proved that she’s not just a great vocalist of BLACKPINK but also an amazing rookie actress! Jisoo perfectly portrayed all the emotions of Eun Young Ro, the female lead character in the drama. She also had great chemistry with her leading man, Jung Hae In, bringing a lot of HaeSoo (Haein and Jisoo’s ship name) fans!

Jisoo is also loved in the entertainment industry! She once co-hosted “SBS Inkigayo” with GOT7 Jinyoung and NCT Doyoung. She also charmingly appeared on the variety shows “Running Man,” “Weekly Idol,” and “Delicious Rendezvous,” where she delighted everyone!

Kang Daniel

Next on the list is Kang Daniel, the former Wanna One member and solo artist turned actor who captured the hearts of K-Drama fans with his natural acting.

“Rookie Cops” is Kang Daniel’s acting debut, and he’s doing a great job portraying the police university student Wi Seung Hyun! He’s gaining a lot of new K-Drama fans because of his cute expressions, and they are loving his chemistry with Chae Soo Bin!

Recently, Kang Daniel appeared on the variety shows “Home Alone” and “It’s Dangerous Beyond The Blankets,” where we saw his daily life and how he’s really like a male lead in a teen movie!

Red Velvet Yeri

Red Velvet Yeri still cut for “Blue Birthday”

Drama Stage “Mint Condition,” and her PLAYLIST web drama “Blue Birthday” is a big success!

Red Velvet’s Yeri received a lot of praise for her portrayal of both a high school student and a 28-year-old Oh Ha Rin. The difference between her high school self and her 28-year-old self is really evident by the way she acts! She also has undeniable chemistry with PENTAGON Hongseok!

Yeri is Red Velvet’s funny maknae (youngest member), so no wonder she’s also a great entertainer! She went to the variety shows “Happy Together,”, “2018 Idol Star Athletics Championships – Chuseok Special,” and “Law of the Jungle” and showed off her many different talents!

NU’EST Min Hyun

Minhyun still cut for “Live On”

NU’EST and former Wanna One member, Minhyun, is loved for his portrayal of Ko Eun Taek in the school romance drama “Live On.”

Minhyun showed that he’s not only handsome, he can also act! “Live On” is his debut project, and he really delivered his emotions so well! He and Jung Da Bin are a great pairing!

We got to see Minhyun’s cute and adorable self when he went on the variety show “The Return of Superman,” where he took care of and spent time with interesting and funny children. He also went to “The King of Mask Singer,” where he captured the hearts of many because of his beautiful voice.

Kim Woo Seok

Kim Woo Seok still cut for “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls”

Kim Woo Seok recently starred in the successful fantasy thriller “Bulgasal” as the high school student Nam Do Yoon who follows the male lead, Lee Jin Wook. He is a member of Up10tion and a former member of the Produce group, X1.

Woo Seok made his acting debut in the PLAYLIST web drama “Twenty Twenty” and proved that he is an all-rounder with his wide range of acting skills in “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls.”

He also appeared in “The King of Mask Singer,” and sang ‘I Will Give You Everything,’ which captured everyone’s hearts and was in “2020 Idol Star Dog-agility Championships – Chuseok Special” together with his cute and adorable dog, Ddadda!

WEi Kim Yo Han

Yohan still cut for “School 2021”

The former X1 member, solo artist, and WEi member Kim Yo Han gained a lot of attention when he starred in the Korean adaptation of the hit Chinese romantic drama “A Love So Beautiful” and was in the 4th installment of the KBS school series “School 2021”.

Everyone fell in love with his acting as Gong Ki Joon, where he portrayed all of the character’s struggles and emotions. He won the Best New Actor as well as Best Couple together with “All Of Us Are Dead” star Cho Yi Hyun in the “2021 KBS Drama Awards.”

Kim Yohan recently appeared on the KBS variety show “Radio Star,” where he talked about his debut. He is also part of the “2020 Idol Star eSports Championships – Chuseok Special,” where he played against different idols!

The Boyz Younghoon

Young Hoon still cut for “One The Woman”

The younger Lee Sang Yoon in the SBS comedy mystery drama “One The Woman” is portrayed by the idol actor Young Hoon of The Boyz!

He first appeared as the second male lead in the KakaoTV web drama “Love Revolution” and is loved for his portrayal of young Seungwook, where he showed his adorable chemistry with idol actress Kim Doyeon!

Young Hoon is the handsome vocalist of The Boyz. He showed his amazing vocals in The King of Mask Singer” and had a special stage appearance together with other idols in the “2021 MBC Music Festival.”
