Want to watch BTS cook a meal (for you, tee hee)? Then check out “Idol King of Cooking!” In “Idol King of Cooking,” over 200 idol stars gather for an intense cooking competition. The idol stars show off their cooking skills and have their dishes evaluated by world-renowned chefs.
The competition begins with a huge preliminary round set to knock out a massive number of contestants. Do you think BTS will survive? You will have to watch to find out. But, the good news is, at only two episodes and less than 40 minutes per episode, you can find out the winner quicker than cooking a turkey dinner.

“Crazy Recipe Adventure“

Four famous Korean MCs head this quirky cooking competition. Each episode of “Crazy Recipe Adventure“ has a Korean food theme, and guests cook food using their own recipe and present them anonymously to the judges. In this way, it’s like “Top Chef” but with a twist.
The twist is – if a judge likes the dish, a golden ax is shown and the dish can be tasted by the next person. But, if they do not like the dish, a toad is shown, and the dish is eliminated on the spot…so no one else can taste it. I know, how mean! Can you imagine if something looked amazing and you couldn’t taste it because someone else didn’t like it! That is a crumb-snatching nightmare. Though it makes for good television, haha.

I must say that this variety show is not to be missed because Paik Jong Won is a legit cooking master (seriously, we use his recipes, and they are fabulous). In “Paik Class,” chef Paik presents several Korean recipes you can easily try to make on your own.
Excuse me while I say, the strength and ease of his recipes cannot be stated enough. His recipes are so easy and sooo tasty! His galbi meat recipe has that meat-melting-off-the-bone effect. Want to try making your own bulgogi sauce? Then lock your doors because the neighbors will be knocking to find out where that divine smell is from.

Be warned, this 20 episode K-Drama is jam-packed with food! I’m talking Thanksgiving turkey stuffed with it! When they say Chinese food, they mean it and provide plenty of Korean-Chinese dishes to delight. Good luck watching this drama and not getting the munchies. “Pasta” (Romantic-Comedy)

When we talk about food-based K-Dramas, we must talk about “Pasta.” “Pasta” is a romantic comedy with a helping of savory Italian food thrown in – not to mention a handsome trio of delightful sou chefs to delight the eyes.
In “Pasta” a young woman named Seo Yoo Kyung dreams of becoming an Italian cuisine chef, but she can’t get hired by anyone. Through a fun-to-watch challenge, she starts working in the restaurant of Choi Hyun Wook (played by Lee Sun Kyun), who doesn’t want her there. Can Yoo Kyung survive the jealousy and rivalry that comes with the challenge of working in a top kitchen? Well, it’s kind of hard when you’re falling in love.

In “My Lovely Sam Soon,” Sam-soon (played by Kim Sun A in a star-making role) is a brash yet talented pastry chef constantly teased about her old-fashioned name and a bit thicker than the average lady weight. But Sam Soon is determined to make the best of her life as a single woman in her thirties…until she falls for a chaebol played by Hyun Bin. Yes, an adorkable Hyun Bin is in this drama in the role that made him famous. You should stream “My Lovely Sam Soon” for that fun fact alone!
