“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 25 & 26 Recap:
Now that Ma Ri knows about Pil Seung’s identity, she showers Pil Seung’s family with fancy goods to show appreciation for raising him with unconditional love. Pil Seung’s family finds this strange, but Ma Ri reassures them that her actions are to repay the debt without telling them exactly what that is. Ma Ri and Soo Yeon are the only ones who know about Pil Seung’s hidden identity.
Soo Yeon understands why Ma Ri is behaving this way, and the two even brainstorm ways to financially repay Sun Young’s family, specifically Pil Seung. Sun Young asks Jin Taek if she can start a production company. This idea is great because it would allow them to implicitly help Pil Seung by investing in his future dramas.
On top of this, Pil Seung’s recent drama becomes a megahit, and he receives a love call from outside his company.
Soo Yeon meets with Pil Seung to explain her new career with the production house, GOGO Entertainment. She asks Pil Seung if he can be her first director. When Pil Seung sees the promised signed bonus, his jaw drops at the huge amount she’s offering. He reminisces about the old days when he couldn’t financially support Do Ra and felt like a useless boyfriend to her. However, things have changed. Initially thinking the offers were crazy, he now believes he stands to gain more from them and can in a way redeem what he couldn’t provide for Do Ra in the past.
Do Sik kept mistaking Ji Young for Do Ra, but he isn’t the only one who thinks this way. When Mi Ja saw Ji Young acting, she also found herself reminded of her deceased daughter.
The day finally arrives, and Sun Young hosts a grand ceremony to celebrate her new career at GOGO Entertainment. Pil Seung attends, as do all those who wish to congratulate him. During the event, Jin Dan and Pil Seung cross paths and engage in conversation with Ji Young. Jin Dan provokes Pil Seung, leading to a physical altercation. During the confrontation, Sun Young learns about Ji Young, whom Pil Seung is fiercely protective of. Sun Young searches for Ji Young and is deeply disappointed when she finally meets her, realizing that the girl Pil Seung fought for is just an ordinary country girl.
Now that Pil Seung is the lead director of GOGO Entertainment and has a lot on his shoulders, he sets sail to produce a new drama. Many actors come to audition for it and Ji Young is one of them. So is Do Do from Mi Ja’s agency. When Mi Ja sees Ji Young acting in front of the camera for the audition, she is mesmerized by her acting even though she does not want to admit it.
Fortunately, Ji Young performs exceptionally well, impressing all the casting directors and writers. Everyone supports her for the second lead role, but Sun Young opposes it. She believes Pil Seung’s insistence on Ji Young is due to his personal feelings. Despite this, Sun Young cannot deny Ji Young’s talent after witnessing her outstanding audition.
Ji Young gets the role, but Pil Seung’s family is furious about her working with him. Despite Pil Seung’s efforts to explain that Ji Young had no romantic involvement with Jin Dan and did not cause the fight between Jin Dan and Pil Seung, his family remains unconvinced. They are dissatisfied with Ji Young continuing to date Pil Seung, believing she is not suitable for him and that he deserves someone better. This ongoing tension has created a significant strain, as the family refuses to accept Ji Young, regardless of the truth about her innocence in the conflict with Jin Dan.
Do Do, an actress with Mi Ja’s agency leaves because she sees no hope of succeeding as an actor. Depressed, Mi Ja visits a fortune-teller, who tells her that her daughter is not actually dead but is very close by. Initially, Mi Ja thinks this is nonsense, but when she sees Ji Young, she tries to find the mole on her back—and there it is: the three moles that Do Ra had since she was a child!
“Beauty and Mr. Romantic” Episode 27 Trailer breakdown:
Jin Dan’s mother cannot understand why her son is longing for Ji Young, a girl from the countryside. Jin Dan then confesses that Ji Young reminds him of Do Ra, and he cannot help but develop feelings for her.
To ensure she hasn’t mistaken Ji Young for Do Ra based on just one piece of evidence, Mi Ja gives Ji Young a nutty drink, knowing that Do Ra is allergic. If Ji Young reacts to it, Mi Ja will be certain that she is her daughter, Do Ra.
Pil Seung visits Ji Young’s home and realizes she has moved out, taking all her belongings with her, without telling him.
