“Recipe For Love” Episodes 47 & 48 Recap:
- After reaffirming their feelings for one another, Hyun Bin wastes no time planning for their future together. He even prepares a full presentation to convince both families to approve their marriage. But just when everything seems to be falling into place, Ju Ah admits she’s still hesitant about marriage and would rather keep their relationship as it is. Heartbroken, Hyun Bin tells her that if marriage isn’t her end goal, he can’t continue investing in a future that may never happen.
- While walking to work, Ju Ah runs into Sun Chool, but something immediately feels off when he fails to recognize her. Moments later, he suddenly collapses. After rushing him to the hospital, Ju Ah and Hyun Bin receive devastating news: Sun Chool has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and urgently needs radiation treatment or a transplant.
- Determined to fulfill his grandfather’s final wish before it’s too late, Hyun Bin reluctantly agrees to go on as many blind dates as possible in hopes of getting married quickly. His decision shocks the entire family, especially since he had always insisted he would only marry Ju Ah. As Hyun Bin officially registers with a matchmaking agency, Ju Ah can’t hide the jealousy building inside her, though she still refuses to stop him. Seeing Ju Ah continue to hold back, Hye Soo comes up with a bold idea: what if she and Hyun Bin pretend to be a couple? Maybe seeing him move on will finally make Ju Ah realize what she’s about to lose.
- Rather than burdening his loved ones with the truth, Sun Chool quietly tells his family that he’s leaving on a trip and even retires from work. In reality, he’s preparing for treatment while keeping his terminal diagnosis hidden from everyone.
- Hyun Bin and Hye Soo’s fake relationship does exactly what it was meant to do. Although Ju Ah tries to convince herself she’s fine, jealousy quickly gets the best of her. Unable to watch any longer, she follows them and rushes in before things go any further. At last, Ju Ah lets down her guard. She tearfully confesses that she can’t bear the thought of Hyun Bin marrying someone else. No longer willing to run from her feelings, she tells him she loves him and that she’s finally ready to marry him.
- Meanwhile, Woo Jae finally confesses his feelings to Eun Bin, giving her the heartfelt moment she has been waiting for all this time.

- With Ju Ah finally saying yes, Hyun Bin asks Sun Chool for his blessing to marry her. Sun Chool agrees, but under two conditions. Hyun Bin must first earn Ju Ah’s family’s approval, while Ju Ah must receive Se Ri’s blessing. When Hyun Bin formally asks for permission, Seong Mi immediately rejects the marriage. Hoping to change her mind, Sun Chool urges Se Ri to reconcile with Seong Mi, but Se Ri initially refuses, unable to understand his request. Everything changes once Se Ri discovers the truth about Sun Chool’s terminal illness. Heartbroken, she finally understands why he has been rushing Hyun Bin’s marriage all along. Filled with regret, Se Ri goes to Seong Mi, sincerely apologizes for all the pain she has caused, and even kneels before her in hopes of making amends.
