Okay, hear me out! I know I am not the only one who wishes to live in a K-Drama because of the characters there! We all do, right? One thing that makes K-Drama special is how realistic the friendships are! We can all relate to each character because we know, in ourselves, that those experiences happen in real life.

Every character, from the main to the sides, are important in a K-Drama, and it’s no doubt that non-main characters also offer a lot of things whenever they are on the screen! Now, let’s meet these K-Drama side characters who have the same vibe as your real-life friends!

The Supportive Friend

First things first, having a romantic relationship is much better when we have someone to share our feelings with, right? I know we all have this friend in our lives to whom we share our stories about crushes. Someone we can easily share our feelings with, and we will feel giddy together about it!

Meet Soo Ryeon (Portrayed by Keum Sae Rok) from the melodrama “Youth of May.” She became the bridge of the main lead’s love story. She put her friend, Myeong Hee, on a blind date where he met Hee Tae. The two found a special connection with each other that made their love last for a lifetime.

The Chaotic Friends

Another set of friends we can all relate to are those that are so fun to be with! They are the ones who will make the mood light by their charming antics and how effortlessly funny they are! Just like the “Don’t think! Feel” trio of the romantic comedy-drama “Still 17“.

This funny trio is composed of Chan (portrayed by Ahn Hyo Seop), Hae Bum (portrayed by Lee Do Hyun), and Deok Soo (portrayed by Jo Hyun Sik). The three are always together since they are all part of the school’s rowing team and are the mood makers in the drama. They know exactly how to make the main characters, Woo Jin and Seo Ri, feel better whenever the two are feeling down!

The Friend Who Falls Too Easily

In a group of friends, there is no chance that you won’t have that friend who falls too easily for good-looking guys! They are the ones who have a lot of happy crushes because they are content  To just gaze at the eye-candy

One relatable K-Drama character is Yoon Ah Reum (portrayed by So Joo Yeon) of the hit medical drama “Dr. Romantic 2“! She’s a cute nurse who falls easily for good-looking guys who are nice to her. She’s a ball of sunshine, which is  why everyone in Doldam Hospital is soft for her.

The Social Butterfly Friend

Have you ever had a friend who’s very friendly, and everyone feels so comfortable around them? I know some people came into your mind! Meet Jae Seok (portrayed by Lee Sang Yi) of the family romance drama “Once Again.”

Jae Seok is that extroverted, energetic kind of friend who is nice to everyone. He knows how to make everyone comfortable! He’s still friends with his brother’s ex-wife, and he even befriended the person who had a crush on his girlfriend! He’s the kind of person that you want to be friends with!

The Dedicated to Long Term Relationship Friend

Speaking of relationships, we also have that kind of friend who is dedicated to their long-term relationships! They are the kind of people who are loyal to their loved ones and will never turn their back against them!

Meet Sul Hee (portrayed by Song Ha Yoon) of the romantic comedy-drama “Fight For My Way.” She’s a hardworking woman who always strives her best in everything she does. She’s a sweetheart, a helpful friend, and an understanding lover who deserves everything!

The Campus Crush friend

Another type of friend is where everyone is crushing on them! They are those with good looks and fashion. They are the type of friends who are famous for their visuals, and it’s a typical ordinary day for them when they are the center of attention.

Meet Baek Kyung (portrayed by Lee Jae Wook) of the high school fantasy drama “Extra-ordinary You.” He is part of the popular trio “A3” at their school, and all eyes are on him whenever he is walking on the campus! Baek Kyung is the type of friend who looks cold on the outside but actually has a soft personality when you get to know him better!

The Friends To Eat With

Last but not least, our favorite kind of friends! The people whom we love sharing our meals. Even if we don’t say anything, they understand our gestures and actions. They are the kind of friends who have the same taste buds as us. We get to enjoy and try different kinds of meals whenever we bond with them!

Meet the Swag trio (portrayed by Lee Sung Kyoung, Lee Joo Young, Cho Hye Jung) of the romantic comedy series “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok-joo.” They are the type of friends who share their victories and struggles together. The three all have the same interests, which are weightlifting and eating. That’s why they were able to form a special bond!
