It’s not the Christmas season if we don’t mention kissing underneath the mistletoe!’ If you’ve watched a handful of American films, you’ve probably heard of this phrase already. In K-Dramas, these kinds of kisses are not a thing, BUT we all know how K-Dramas are great at heart-fluttering moments in showing different ways of showing love and appreciation!

Jung Ho and Yu Ri of “The Law Cafe

One of my favorite types of K-drama kisses is when they confess their feelings for one another just like this scene between Jung Ho and Yu Ri finally showing what they truly felt. We’re so relieved that the two longtime friends decided to take a chance on their friendship and start dating.

Tae Hee and Si Hyun of “Tempted

I think kisses under the cherry blossoms is the Korean drama’s version of kisses under the mistletoe because we’ve seen this kind of kiss a lot of times already! One of my favorites is this bittersweet kiss between Tae Hee and Si Hyun before they part ways and we can see their longing for one another.

Bok Joo and Joon Hyung of “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok-joo

Kisses under the snowfall are probably the closest kiss under the mistletoe and I always find it endearing if a couple chooses to share a kiss in this setting. In “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” we can see how Bok Joo and Joon Hyung’s genuine love as they share a kiss under the snowfall.

Sae Woo and Poong of “Wok of Love

Heart-fluttering kisses usually happen when they can’t get enough of one another just like how Sae Woo and Poong share a lot of sweet kisses! We can definitely see how in love they are with how their eyes are full of affection!

Jung Woo and Hae Yi of “Cheer Up

Campus couples like Jung Woo and Hae Yi of “Cheer Up” really offers something different from other K-drama couples! Puppy-like and innocent love make our heart flutters just like how these two made us feel all the things when they started reciprocating each other’s feelings after that slow burn!

Jae Seok and Da Hee of “Once Again

Is it really a family drama if there’s no couple hiding their relationship? Secret relationships are one thing that we see in K-dramas that doesn’t get old. It was entertaining to see the “Once Again” couple, Jae Seok and Da hee, keep their relationship a secret from their families at first when they started dating.

Hee Tae and Myung Hee of “Youth of May

What could be more romantic than a goodnight kiss from your date after you’ve brought her home? Myung Hee and Hee Tae are couple goals not just in their relationship but also in how they worked together in helping people since they are both knowledgeable in the medical industry!

Ji Sung and Bok Shil of “Shopaholic Louis

Kisses under the rainfall? Kiss on the forehead? You name it all because Ji Sung of “Shopaholic Louis” is the master of kissing. We get to see how he’s such a very affectionate person together with the love of his life who opened him to a new world he’s not familiar with.

Song Ah and Joon Young Of “Do You Like Brahms

Here’s where I mention that a kiss after confessing displays deep affection and desire for one another. Knowing how long it took for a pair in a slow-burn K-drama to recognize and return each other’s feelings makes a huge difference in how powerfully the story hits. “Do You Like Brahms” is really a great drama with this kind of trope!

The Main Characters of “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth

Who says the best kisses can’t be seen in period pieces? The characters in “Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth” showed us many kinds of kisses, from the passionate to the sweet to the completely unexpected.

Ji Ah and Min Kyu of “I Am Not a Robot

Kisses you share with the person you love feel different after knowing you had a connection with one another. When Min Kyu found out that Ji Ah’s been there for him all along, his love grew even deeper, and gave her a passionate kiss!

And these are just some of my favorite K-drama kisses. Christmas is right around the corner so let’s spread the love by watching K-dramas together with our loved ones on KOCOWA!
