“Live Your Own Life” Episode 26 & 27 Recap:

Hyo Sim lets her mother take advantage of her because she pities her mom. Her mother was fixated on the fact that her husband left her for another woman all these years, which emotionally affected both herself and her daughter, Hyo Sim.

Seeing this, Tae Ho feels bad for Hyo Sim and gives her comforting words to make her rethink the way she is living her current sacrificing life. Tae Ho thanks Hyo Sim for being someone he can rely on and depend on in a place where he has no family and close friends.

To avoid a family-arranged marriage, Tae Hee asks Hyo Do to get married, and so they do in their place, simply with a cake. From Hyo Do’s perspective, getting married to Tae Hee is almost like hitting the jackpot because he knows that she comes from a very wealthy family.

Hyo Sim finally realizes that she no longer wants to live a life where her mother is co-dependent on her. She then confidently tells her mother that she has decided to move out. It was a bold move for Hyo Sim because all these years, she was always this supportive daughter figure who lived life for others. Of course, Sun Soon does not take this well and yells at her, claiming she is spewing nonsense. For the first time, Hyo Sim refutes every word her mother says and tries not to get swayed by Sun Soon’s harsh, guilt-tripping words.

Tae Min looks into the death of her uncle and sees if her father Jin Beom is involved. Some secrets start to surface but are not clear enough for Tae Min to make accurate accusations. Then, Tae Ho catches Tae Min watching a video clip that conveys a message raising the question of Tae Ho’s parents’ death.

Tae Min hurries his marriage to Soo Kyung. Behind this, he is only doing this to conceal the secrets about the tragic death that happened within the Taesan Group family. Sook Hyang cannot hide her excitement to see things go according to her plans.

Hyo Sim finally moves out, and Sun Soon is in denial. Hyo Sim gets a grip on herself and says goodbye. Sun Soon runs out to follow Hyo Sim, but Hyo Sim does not stop.

Now that Hyo Sim has left, everyone who benefited from her sacrifice starts to crumble.

Tae Hee gets kidnapped and sent back to her home, coercively making her separate from Hyo Do.

Tae Ho goes to meet with a reporter and introduces himself as the son of the deceased parents of Taesan Group.

Tae Ho and Hyo Sim go furniture shopping together, and Tae Ho slips and tells her he wants to live with her.
