“Live Your Own Life” Episode 28 & 29 Recap:

Hyo Sim is thrilled to finally be away from her mother and live alone for the first time in her life. Tae Ho visits and helps her out to unpack Hyo Sim’s stuff.

Hyo Jun drops a bombshell and tells Sun Soon that he left the studio apartment and will discontinue studying for his bar exam. Sun Soon is in shock and asks him what’s gotten into him to make such an abrupt decision to quit studying. She persuades him not to quit due to all the sacrifices she and Hyo Sim have made. Hyo Jun does not blink an eye.

Tae Ho starts to investigate Tae Min’s suspicious activities and finds out that the episode that was going to air about the mystery behind his parents’ deaths, suddenly got canceled.

Myung Hee was startled after she found out about Tae Min’s marriage to a daughter of TV Live. Myung Hee uses the payphone to call Sook Hyang and warns her to call off the marriage as soon as possible before TV Live swallows the Taesang Group. Sook Hyang mocks Myung Hee, ignores what she has said, and asks her to stay quiet.

Sook Hyang’s assistant finally catches Myung Hee and tries to abduct her again. But this time, Myung Hee doesn’t give in and tries to escape. Luckily, a police car passes by, saving Myung Hee at the last moment. Sook Hyang is unhappy about the situation. She cannot have Myung Hee, because it might be an obstacle to her plans. Myung Hee pivots and comes up with an idea to have Tae Ho in danger, so Myung Hee will come to save her favorite grandson.

Sook Hyang’s next plan is to give her youngest daughter Tae Hee to another rich conglomerate.

Sun Soon is sad after her daughter Hyo Sim leaves home, and Hyo Jun quits studying for the bar exam he has been attached to for the past 10 years.

Tae Ho and Hyo Sim’s hearts seem to grow closer and closer to each other. Tae Ho seems like a person madly and blindly in love, but in the back of his mind, there is always that mystery about his parents’ deaths.
Tae Hee runs away from home and meets with Hyo Do. They both give each other a big hug.
Hyo Sim wants to restart everything. She decides to resume her studies and wants to transfer to a better university, so she pays a visit to see what she needs to do to enroll again. She finds out that English is needed. Since Tae Ho lived half of his life in the States, he stepped in to be Hyo Sim’s English teacher!

Tae Ho encounters this caretaker who used to closely watch over Myung Hee while she was incarcerated at a place Myung Hee put her in. Tae Ho finds out it was Sook Hyang who put his grandmother Myung Hee in danger, and he is livid and drinks continuously until he becomes drunk and visits Hyo Sim to cry on her shoulder.

Hyo Sim is super worried because she has never seen Tae Ho break down like this.

After Hyo Sim left, all the remaining family members seemed to not do so well without her being the pillar of the family. However, Hyo Sim needs to find her own life.
Tae Ho asks Hyo Sung to help him make Taesan Group go back to where it was when Advisor Choi was still around.
