*SPOILER ALERT* This is by far the most makjang drama I’ve watched this year…!

Here are the highlights of episodes 37 & 38 of “The Real Has Come!”

“The Real Has Come!” Episodes 37 & 38 Recap:

  • Tea Kyung and Yeon Doo have promised each other that they will never separate. Yeon Doo stays at Tae Kyung’s place with her baby Ha Neul.
  • Bong Nim and Dong Wook find out that Dae Sang was in contact with Yeon Doo all this time, but he has hidden this from the rest of the family. They were all enraged.
  • Dae Sang persuades Bong Nim to go see Yeon Doo and Ha Neul together, but because she was so hurt by Yeon Doo’s abandonment, she refuses strongly. However, Bong Nim couldn’t bear the fact that Yeon Doo might have misunderstood if she does not show up. So Bong Nim goes and visits the hospital Dae Sang told her about and surprisingly encounters Tae Kyung holding a baby. She is beyond shocked and asks him if this baby is Yeon Doo’s baby, Ha Neul. Meanwhile, Yeon Doo’s uncle visits Hee to thank her for taking care of Yeon Doo when no one was there to help her give birth. Because Hee was Dae Sang’s first love, they worked together until she used him to her advantage, to make money by swindling. Bong Nim is shocked, Dae Sang is shocked, and everything seems to be chaotic. But to add to this, Jun Ha was peaking and observing all these situations.
  • Jun Ha pulled Bong Nim aside for a private conversation and started threatening her, telling her that if she did not agree to accept him as her son-in-law and break Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo apart. She leaves him no choice but to reveal that Jun Ha is Ha Neul’s biological father to Gong’s family. They are still struggling to recover from the big facade that Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo played, but to add that Jun Ha is the father will be a total meltdown. Bong Nim does not want that to happen.
  • Dong Wook really hurt Yu Myung’s feelings when he brought her to introduce her to his friends. While she goes to the bathroom, Dong Wook casually tells his friends that they are just a fling, not a serious relationship, and Yu Myung accidentally hears this and avoids Dong Wook. He tries to mend what he has done by buying coffee and bringing it to Yu Myung’s workplace. He visits the first-floor cafe and orders coffee and watermelon juice for Yu Kyum as well. The camera zooms in on the cafe owner looking at an image of a sonogram picture that says, Dong Wook loves Song Yi.
  • Bong Nim visits Tae Kyung’s place to take Yeon Doo and Ha Neul back. But Yeon Doo begs her to accept them as a couple and give them her blessing. Yeon Doo tries to persuade Bong Nim that she has promised Tae Kyung that she will never leave him again and she is going to keep her word this time, no matter what.
  • Bong Nim needs someone to help her persuade Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo to break up, so she goes and asks for help from In Ok. Bong Nim tells In Ok she wants nothing to do with Tae Kyung, and she wants her help to tear them apart.
  • Jun Ha does not back down and threatens Yeon Doo that he wants to take her and the baby to the States. Yeon Doo calmly persuades Jun Ha, but he is not an easy person to let go of what he wants. Meanwhile, Tae Kyung was home taking care of Ha Neul when his mother intervenes at the door. In Ok was appalled to see his son holding a baby and even decorating one of his rooms just for the baby. She proclaims that he would never ever call him his mother again.
  • Tae Kyung tells Dong Wook that he is planning on registering the marriage with Yeon Doo and legally adopting Ha Neul.
  • Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo barge into Gong’s family home to ask for forgiveness. Ms. Eun calls all of them in and says that it is all up to In Ok whether she wants to accept their relationship or not. But Ms. Eun continues and tells In Ok that she personally regrets being harsh and treated badly to Tae Kyung because he is not from a blood-related family. And she does not want In Ok to have the same regrets in the future because they seem like they have genuine feelings toward each other, and she should give them a chance.
  • These kind words from Ms. Eun get stopped by Jun Ha barging into the house to tell everyone his big news. Jun Ha reveals that he is the father of Yeon Doo’s baby Ha Neul. Everyone is aghast and could not properly consume the information that is coming out of Jun Ha’s mouth.
  • Yeon Doo shed tears facing reality, and no one other than each other is supporting them. All the family believes the situation seems dire for them.
  • In Ok calls Yeon Doo and asks her to make time for her. In Ok takes Yeon Doo to a place without telling her where. When they arrive, Yeon Doo is in shock because In Ok took her to Jun Ha’s place. There, In Ok tells Jun Ha to take Ha Neul, and if Yeon Doo allows him to do so, In Ok will accept Tae Kyung and Yeon Doo’s relationship.
