One of the sweetest ways that Koreans express their concern for each other is by asking, “밥 먹었어요” — which literally means, “Have you eaten?” It harkens back to the days when South Koreans were so poor that people often went hungry. It’s still considered a polite greeting in today’s modern era, no matter how wealthy you may be. So it’s not surprising that one of the ways that celebrities support each other — and their new projects — is by sending over food or coffee trucks to their friends.
L (“Angel’s Last Mission“) and Go A Ra (“Haechi“) worked together on the legal procedural “Miss Hammurabi.” The two had amazing chemistry on screen and have remained great friends in real life. The two actors have publicly supported each other’s hard work. Most recently, the Infinite singer sent over a coffee truck to his famous noona (literally what Korean males call their older sisters, but also commonly used to by men to refer to older female friends) when she was busy filming “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol.”
Representatives for Coffee Pong, the company that prepared the gift, said:
We’ll be sure to deliver all the beverages that L kindly sent over to Go A Ra and her staff and fellow actors.

Kim Soo-Hyun (“My Love from the Star“), IU (“The Producers“) and Yeo Jin-Goo (“The Moon Embracing the Sun“) have worked together in some of the most memorable K-Dramas. When the latter two filmed “Hotel Del Luna,” Kim not only visited his younger former castmates on set, but he also surprised them with a coffee truck.
Yeo reacted to the treat as the Kim Soo-Hyun fanboy that he is:
“Hyung! I’ll work hard thanks to all the energy I’ve received from you (and your gift)!”
When Kim was filming “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” a whole slew of celebrities showed how much they cared for him. IU (“Dream High“), Park Seo-Jun (“Kill Me Heal Me“) and Lee Hyun-Woo (“Moorim School“) — the stars of the upcoming film, “Dream” — sent Kim food and coffee trucks.
But wait! Did you know that Kim had previously sent the “Dream” cast a food truck to keep their spirits up and their bellies full while working?

IU also gifted her “Hotel Del Luna” co-star, Lee Do-Hyun (“Still 17“), with his own coffee truck when he was filming the series “18 Again.” She had previously called him a trend-setting actor and wished him luck. He responded in his Instagram post, saying, “Thank you to the real trend-setter, IU.”
And we all know how much Ji Chang-Wook (“Healer“) is loved by his fans and co-stars. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he has a huge international following of fans as well. Did you know that he and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao are mutual admirers? And that Pacquiao’s wife, Jinkee, is a huge stan of the Korean actor?
When they last visited Seoul, they made sure to meet up with Ji and sent over an elaborate coffee truck to show their appreciation of their friend’s hard work.
