Song Hye Kyo is on fire with her newest K-Drama “The Glory,” which is eating up high ratings left and right. But which K-Dramas helped put her on the map and where can I watch them you ask? Look no further than KOCOWA! We have plenty of Song Hye Kyo K-Drama content to keep you occupied until season 2 of “The Glory” drops. Check them out below!

“Autumn in My Heart” 2000

The melo-est of melos, “Autumn in My Heart” is the K-Drama that kicked of Song Hye Kyo as a new actress about to take over K-Dramaland. This drama tells the story of two men and a woman with tragic fates that intertwine into love, agony, and … well you will have to watch to see how it ends. Just remember to bring a tissue (maybe just take the whole box).

“My Brilliant Life” 2014

As the only movie on our list, “My Brilliant Life” pulls a lot of weight in the emotional part of our hearts. This movie is about a little boy who is diagnosed with progeria, a disease that makes you age rapidly. Song Hye Kyo plays his mother who helps him find comfort in writing letters. I know, it’s a sad one, Oscar worthy as we say in the states. But whyyy, Song Hye Kyo, why do you do this to us???

“Descendants Of The Sun” 2016

We have moved from sad territory to epic romance territory in “Descendants Of The Sun”. This drama has everything your romantic heart requires: a professional woman who is succeeding in her career despite the odds, a remote location with no familiar face around for miles, and a man sent to protect her who she just so happens to love hate. If you are in the need of an epic romance, bodyguard style, then check this one out!

“Full House” 2004

One of Song Hye Kyo’s early K-Dramas that helped skyrocket her to fame was “Full House”! Now, this show is a pure romantic comedy about a girl who inherits a gorgeous house but loses it to a famous actor and, through a K-Drama twist of fate, ends up living with him. It’s quirky, funny, and has Idol star Rain in it to boot. Watch for the petty-laughs stay for the pretty-pretty!

“All In” 2003

This is probably THE K-Drama that put Song Hye Kyo on the map to stay. “All In” is a revenge drama that was a crazy smashing success when it aired way back in 2003, twenty years ago! How has this woman not aged a day? “All In” is about one man’s rise through the competitive world of casino gambling, and Song Hye Kyo plays his childhood love interest who is on her path to becoming a nun, until she meets him again as an adult. This show got 47.7% ratings in Korea when it aired, y’all. Worth the watch if you want to be transported back to 2003. Hey vintage is in, right? So, give it a watch!

Have you seen any of these Song Hye Kyo dramas? I feel like, out of all of these, “Descendants Of The Sun” is the one most people would have seen. It’s like the 2016 version of “Crash Landing On You” in the popularity of the story and couple in front of and behind the camera. People were obsessed! But all of these shows have a lot to love about them (and many of them slap, seriously) so be sure to check them out on KOCOWA!
