We all have our favorite couples, right? I know I do! But, which couples are KOCONUTS absolute favorites? Is it the “Fight for My Way” mighty duo? The “Do You Like Brahm’s?” musical romantics? The “Oh My Venus” workout couple? Who is it? Here we have eight of our favorite KOCOWA couples and….

We’re giving away three free subscriptions with The KThree in honor of Valentine’s Day!

More on that below, but first, let’s get into 8 of the Best K-Drama Couples to Swoon over with hilarious and on-point comments from Jenn and Marisa from The KThree!

Park Eun Bin and Kim Min Jae in “Do You Like Brahms?”

Stream Romantic K Drama Do You Like Brahms on KOCOWA

A sleeper hit that had fans online gushing! A big part of that was the chemistry that softly floated from Kim Min Jae and Park Eun Bin as they brought Song Ah and Joong Young to life in this lovely sentimental romance. Did you fall in love with this couple yet cried in the club at the low ratings? You are not alone!

Jenn: One of the best ever!! We had our doubts how they were going to stick the landing at the end of 14, BUT I don’t think I have ever been more satisfied with a romantic ending. That kiss at the end of 15 – think I had that on repeat for a week.

Marisa: I grew to be so invested in their romance. This couple were quiet characters who spoke through music. This drama just hit differently. And the classical music was beautiful.

Park Seo Joon and Kim Ji Won in “Fight for My Way”

Stream Romantic K Drama Fight For My Way on KOCOWA

Who did not fall in love with the easy-on-the-eyes athlete with a heart of gold, Dong Man, and his childhood best friend, who was also a fiery ball of “Don’t mess with my friends” flames, Ae Ra? Just watching their interactions as their friendship turned to awkward crush and then lovers was a lovely sight to behold. This couple is one to check out for sure!

Jenn: Their chemistry & banter was some of my all-time favorites.

Marisa: There’s nothing like a loyal squad of friends, going through the most relatable changes in their relationships. Funny and heartfelt, I found myself cheering them on as they tried to figure themselves out.

Shin Mina and So Ji Sub in “Oh My Venus”

Stream Romantic K Drama Oh My Venus on KOCOWA

There is nothing that Shin Mina does that I do not love, and So Ji Sub was one of my original stans in K-Drama land, so of course, I was well conditioned to fall in love with them playing the lovely Joo Eun who hires the quiet, no-nonsense John Kim to help her lose “breakup” weight. They fell in love slowly and cutely with plenty of understanding between them. Plus, they were both just so cute together!

Jenn: Classic couple!!

Marisa: One of my first K-Drama rom-coms, and it was a high bar with two huge stars! Their chemistry was adorable and sassy, and now I can’t get Henry Lau out of my head shouting “Ma’am, ma’am!”

Lee Hanee and Lee Sang Yoon in “One The Woman”

Stream Romantic K Drama One The Woman on KOCOWA

“One the Woman” is one of the new dramas to KOCOWA in 2021 that had us rolling at the antics of Lee Hanee as she played a dual character. But what got a lot of eyeballs on this drama was when her “don’t mess with me” character, Yeon Ju, fell in love with the silently strong chaebol Seung Wook. It was delightful to watch Yeon Ju pull Seung Wook out of his comfort zone time and time again. Until she fell in love with him, of course, then she was the one outside her comfort zone!

Jenn: As our Coffee Break crew knows: I will watch Lee Sang Yoon in anything – full stop.  Lee Sang Yoon in a romantic comedy with Lee Hanee?! Those were some of my best weeks of 2021!

Marisa: Lee Hanee giving us two (or even three?) characters to aspire to. The bravado! The pantsuits! The out-smarting everyone even when she’s got amnesia! This was a mature yet cheeky couple who made me laugh and cheer them on with every single episode.

Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk in “Weightlifting Fairy, Kim Bok Joo”

Stream Romantic K Drama Weightlifting Fairy on KOCOWA

If we talk about hot K-Dramas on KOCOWA, “Weightlifting Fairy” has to be on the top of the list. That popularity is due in large (massive!) part to the adorable chemistry between the leads Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk, who played Kim Bok Joo and Jung Joon Hyung. And guess what, the chemistry was real because they dated for two years after the show!

Jenn: Is there a better K-Drama college couple?

Marisa: I resisted hitting play on this rom-com for so long because I thought a group of college kids would feel too young for me, but wow, it was funny and heartfelt and brimming with those overwhelming feelings of first crushes and first love. Plus, the girl squad, and Kim Bok Joo’s dad’s love for her, and the teams were A+.

Jang Nara and Choi Jin Hyuk or Shin Sung Rok in “The Last Empress”

Stream Romantic K Drama The Last Empress on KOCOWA

Yes, this show was a crazy bonkers ride, but we should all agree that there were two love stories in this! The love story between Jang Nara and Choi Jin Hyuk and the love story between Jang Nara and Shin Sung Rok! I loved both love stories and was especially amazed that the writer could make me love both men. Even more astounding was that she redeemed a seemingly unredeemable character in Shin Sung Rok! Though Shin Sung Rok’s adorkable acting had a lot to do with it, haha.

Jenn: I did not want to fall for the Shin Sung Rok adorkable charm offensive, but just like Jang Nara – I was powerless to resist!

Marisa: BONKERS!! This drama was a ride that was so enjoyable in its ridiculousness. Jang Nara at the center was fantastic!

Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun in “My Love From The Star”

Stream Romantic K Drama My Love From The Star on KOCOWA

Talk about a crazy premise! An alien gets trapped on Earth and falls in love with the top star in Korea who has a serial killer trying to kill her. Yes, it’s bonkers – but so good! Jun Ji Hyun’s acting really pulls you into her struggles of just trying to make it in a world where everyone thinks she’s dumb, and Kim Soo Hyun is, on the opposite end, a brilliant mind who is trying to escape from this world completely (literally, since he is trying to get back to his home planet, lol). The feels with this couple are real in this show and even had me crying buckets of love at the end. Tune in!

Jenn: Aliens & Celebrities?! All in!

Marisa: There are some K-Dramas that just sit at the pinnacle of Kdramadom and this is one of them! This couples’ stunning looks, their awesome talent, their taunting chemistry was addicting from beginning to starry end.

Jang Nara and Jung Yong Hwa in “Sell Your Haunted House”

Stream Romantic K Drama Sell Your Haunted House on KOCOWA

Now, let’s talk about adorable role-reversal coupledom because I adored Jang Nara and Jung Yong Hwa’s romance dynamic in “Sell Your Haunted House.” Sure, Jung Yong was a beta man who was averse to anything slightly terrifying, but he didn’t need to be the strong one when Jang Nara was holding it down as a fierce ghost hunter! He was the one who tried his best to keep her safe when she was keeping Korea safe. How can’t you love that!

Jenn: The love I have for this show!! This ghost hunting crew was everything – fierce, funny, loyal, kind, supportive, and teased us just enough with the romantic potential to make me want a season 2 immediately.

Marisa: Jang Nara rules. When her goth look, icy stares, and ghost hunting prowess collided with his wayward puppy dog energy, this couple was spellbinding.
