- Se Ri’s world was shaken after an unexpectedly tense encounter at a tteokbokki restaurant with Min Seo. Out of nowhere, a strange man approached Se Ri, calling her by a different name and asking if she remembered him from the orphanage. Completely blindsided, Se Ri immediately denied knowing him, insisting he had mistaken her for someone else before rushing home in distress. The brief moment left her visibly rattled, hinting that there may be secrets from her past she desperately wants to keep buried.
- Meanwhile, Dae Han and Dong Ik continue working on their documentary together, though the atmosphere between them remains far from comfortable. Their unresolved tension lingers behind the camera, making every interaction feel stiff and emotionally charged.
- Things also begin to shift dramatically between Eun Bin and Min Seo. Although the two initially grew close after Min Seo entered Eun Bin’s life, Eun Bin slowly started to feel pushed aside as the people around her gravitated toward Min Seo. From Woo Jae to even her own mother, Se Ri, everyone seemed charmed by Min Seo’s warm personality. Hurt and increasingly suspicious, Eun Bin coincidentally found this box of Se Ri’s, filled with baby items and an old photograph that looked strikingly familiar to one Min Seo always keeps close. As the pieces slowly fall into place, Eun Bin begins to suspect that Se Ri could actually be Min Seo’s biological mother.
- Unable to stop overthinking the possibility, Eun Bin becomes convinced that Min Seo intentionally entered their lives to reconnect with Se Ri. But despite her suspicions, she agrees to accompany Min Seo to the orphanage where she was raised in hopes of uncovering the truth for herself as well.
- At the orphanage, Min Seo asks one of the nuns to contact her biological mother and see if she would be willing to meet. But the heartbreaking response leaves Min Seo devastated. Her mother refuses, choosing instead to protect the peaceful life she has built with her current family. Watching Min Seo break down in tears, Eun Bin finally realizes that Min Seo never approached their family with ulterior motives. Instead, she had simply been searching for answers and longing for the connection she never had. Eun Bin is left torn between relief that Se Ri truly values the family she has now and heartbreak for Min Seo, who is once again abandoned by the person she desperately wanted to meet.
- Elsewhere, Sun Hae stumbles upon a shocking secret while cleaning Ju Ah’s room. Hidden among her belongings is a romantic photo of Ju Ah and Hyun Bin together, leaving Sun Hae completely stunned. Alarmed by the discovery, she urgently warns Ju Ah to keep the relationship hidden from the rest of the family. Determined to stop things before they spiral further, Sun Hae even meets Hyun Bin personally and strongly urges him to end the relationship.
- Seong Mi also faces an emotional challenge of her own after going in for a second examination regarding the lump in her breast. Though Jeong Han accompanies her to the appointment, his calm and seemingly indifferent reaction leaves Seong Mi quietly disappointed. But beneath his cold exterior lies overwhelming fear. Later that night, Jeong Han finally breaks down in front of Dae Han, tearfully admitting how terrified he is and how deeply sorry he feels for Seong Mi as they wait for answers together.
