Determined to remain professional, she keeps her composure and successfully carries the show through to the very end. The runway debut becomes a major success, leaving Hyun Bin incredibly proud of her. After the show wraps up, Ju Ah quietly confronts Seong Mi and asks what stage her cancer is in, leaving Seong Mi stunned that her daughter already knows the truth.

Meanwhile, Dong Ik spots Se Ri meeting a suspicious man at a cafe and immediately begins digging into her past. Unable to shake his suspicions, he secretly hires a private investigator to uncover the truth behind Se Ri’s hidden life.

As Min Seo prepares to leave for the United States, she shares an emotional farewell with Se Ri. But Se Ri’s heart is already overwhelmed after hearing that Hyun Bin is also planning to leave for Argentina. Carrying the weight of knowing Se Ri is her biological mother, Min Seo breaks down in tears when Se Ri suddenly prepares birthday seaweed soup for the entire family, remembering the birthday her real mother never forgot.
Later, while Min Seo tutors Se Ri in English, she briefly steps out to buy snacks. During her absence, Min Seo’s phone rings, with the caller ID labeled “Mom.” Se Ri answers without hesitation, only to freeze when the caller asks, “Isn’t this Veronica’s phone?” The name instantly shocks Se Ri, as Veronica was also the English name of the daughter she gave up long ago.

Dong Ik learns that Se Ri gave up her child and later entered Miss Universe, hoping to marry into wealth. The friend also reveals that Se Ri secretly tried to save money for her biological daughter over the years. Already carrying deep emotional scars from his ex-wife’s past betrayal and affair, Dong Ik finds himself spiraling back into old trauma.

After learning that Min Seo’s English name is Veronica, Se Ri immediately contacts the nun from the orphanage and asks if her daughter is currently in Korea. The nun confirms that she recently visited the orphanage with a friend around her age. Realizing Eun Bin and Min Seo fit that description perfectly, Se Ri pieces everything together in horror and heartbreak. Meeting at a quiet cafe, Se Ri explains that the name Veronica was personally chosen for her daughter all those years ago. As the painful truth comes pouring out, both mother and daughter burst into tears. But just as they reconcile, Dong Ik witnesses the entire moment from afar and is left speechless after discovering that Min Seo, the girl who had been living under his roof all this time, is Se Ri’s biological daughter.

The shocking truth about Se Ri and Min Seo finally spreads through the family after Dong Ik exposes everything.
Meanwhile, Jeong Han discovers that his younger brother Dae Han has secretly been dating Dong Sook, the younger sister of their longtime enemy, Dong Ik.
