“Recipe For Love” Episodes 33 & 34 Recap:
- Jeong Han finally discovers that Dae Han is dating Dong Sook, and he is absolutely furious. He can’t believe his younger brother is involved with the enemy’s sister, especially after noticing how strangely lenient Dae Han has been toward Dong Ik lately. Suddenly, everything starts to make sense.
- Meanwhile, Dong Ik continues digging into the truth after learning that Se Ri once had a biological daughter he never knew about. Following her to a café, he is stunned to see Se Ri warmly embracing Min Seo, the live-in tutor currently staying under their roof. Unable to process what he’s seeing, Dong Ik quietly turns away. Unaware that he witnessed everything, Se Ri opens up to Min Seo about the painful decision she made years ago. Left to raise a child completely on her own, Se Ri believed adoption was her only option at the time.
- Things only spiral further when Dong Ik misunderstands Se Ri that she has secretly been saving money for her biological daughter all these years. Overwhelmed with betrayal and confusion, Dong Ik completely loses control.
- Elsewhere, Hyun Bin remains determined to leave both the company and the country behind. Despite Jun Hyeon and Hye Su desperately trying to convince him to stay, nothing seems capable of changing his mind.
- Dong Ik eventually turns to Hyun Bin for advice regarding Se Ri’s secret. Surprisingly, Hyun Bin reacts calmly, even suggesting that Se Ri having a biological daughter might not be such a terrible thing after all, especially since she never truly had a family of her own growing up. His words slowly begin shifting Dong Ik’s perspective, and Dong Ik decides to wait for the right moment to speak with Se Ri directly.
- After the massive success of her runway project, Ju Ah lands an exclusive magazine interview. Although thrilled by the opportunity, everything falls apart the moment the interviewer asks her one simple question: “Who inspired you?” The instant Hyun Bin comes to mind, Ju Ah finally breaks down. After suppressing her feelings following their breakup, she can no longer hold herself together and abruptly halts the interview.
- Later, Se Ri gathers the entire family together, announcing that she has something important to reveal. As the tension builds, Dong Ik’s anxiety worsens by the second. After learning from the private investigator that Se Ri recently visited a lawyer, Dong Ik becomes consumed by fear, convinced history is about to repeat itself and that another person he loves is preparing to leave him behind.
- At the same time, the relationship between Dae Han and Jeong Han rapidly deteriorates. Jeong Han cannot accept the fact that Dae Han intends to continue seeing Dong Sook, especially during such an emotional time for the family after their long-lost father reached out, only to say he would never return home.
- When Se Ri finally confesses the truth to the family, everyone reacts far more calmly than she expected, including Dong Ik. Relieved, Se Ri explains that her meeting with the lawyer had nothing to do with leaving the family. Instead, she wanted to officially adopt Hyun Bin and Eun Bin. Realizing how wrong his assumptions were, Dong Ik feels a huge sense of relief as well.
- Excited for a fresh start, Se Ri happily suggests that the family take a trip together. But while searching through drawers to show Dong Ik a travel pamphlet, she accidentally stumbles upon a shocking collection of photographs, all of them secretly taken of her. Horrified, Se Ri immediately confronts Dong Ik, only to learn that he hired a private investigator to follow her and gather evidence. Deeply hurt by the fact that her husband couldn’t trust her, Se Ri leaves the house, deciding to stay away until Dong Ik sorts out his feelings
- Meanwhile, Dae Han refuses to give up on Dong Sook. After much thought, he decides to move out of the family home and formally ask for approval from Dong Ik and Dong Sook’s family. Dressed in a suit, Dae Han boldly kneels before them and sincerely asks for permission to continue dating Dong Sook. Unsurprisingly, Dong Ik and his father are completely rattled by the unexpected proposal, but Dae Han remains unwavering.
- With tensions between Dong Ik and Jeong Han’s families now more tangled than ever, another shocking moment arrives when Dong Ik receives a phone call informing him that his biological mother is in critical condition. It has been thirty years since he last heard anything about her whereabouts.
