“For Eagle Brothers” Episodes 29 & 30 Recap:
- Mi Ae visits Gyeol and pleads with him to persuade Se Ri to return to their marriage plan. Desperate, she even goes as far as telling Se Ri to quit university. Meanwhile, Beom Soo continues with his lecture, with Se Ri present in his class. He can’t help but notice the despair in her eyes. Things take a dramatic turn when Mi Ae storms into the classroom, grabs Se Ri by the hand, and pulls her out in front of everyone.
- Dong Seok is counting down the days until he hears Kwang Sook’s answer to whether she’ll be his girlfriend. He spends his days thinking about how to propose to her most romantically.
- After the classroom incident, both Se Ri and Beom Soo are left worrying about each other. The embarrassment and disruption weighs heavily on Se Ri.
- Elsewhere, Ok Bun tries to convince Heung Soo to start a sandwich business together, not only because he’s currently unemployed, but also because she wants a reason to stay close to him.
- Se Ri later meets with Gang Soo, expressing how sorry she is about her mother’s behavior during the lecture. She also confesses how much she misses Ha Ni and asks if he could occasionally send her photos. Touched by her sincerity, Gang Soo passes along her message to Beom Soo, realizing that Beom Soo also seems to harbor feelings for her.
- Every night, Dong Seok falls asleep imagining the day he’ll finally propose to Kwang Sook. But Kwang Sook is torn, feeling both pressure and guilt towards her late husband and the brothers she’s caring for.
- The long-awaited day arrives. Kwang Sook and the four brothers begin their morning with a cheerful workout, but deep inside, she feels unsettled. That day, Dong Seok sends her a beautiful dress for their meeting, and prepares flowers, fully dressed up and ready to ask her the big question. Kwang Sook tries on the dress and heads to the restaurant where Dong Seok is waiting.
- Dong Seok imagines the perfect moment—asking her to be his girlfriend. But when Kwang Sook walks in, wearing her own clothes instead of the dress, reality hits. She tells him that she can’t go out with him. Dong Seok is heartbroken. Having never faced rejection before—raised as a privileged chaebol—he struggles to process his emotions. He stays behind at the restaurant, sipping wine, reflecting on the past ten days he spent preparing for this moment, now rendered meaningless.
- Later, Gang Soo sends Se Ri a video of Ha Ni, knowing how much she misses her. Se Ri breaks down in tears, overwhelmed to see Ha Ni, even if just through a screen.
- Meanwhile, Mi Ae drops by Bom’s office hoping to talk about Se Ri, but instead runs into Gang Soo—her biological son. As Bom rushes off to a meeting, Mi Ae seizes the moment and asks Gang Soo to join her for coffee. Caught off guard, Gang Soo still only knows her as Bom’s acquaintance. But in Mi Ae’s mind, this is her chance to make up for the years she missed as Gang Soo’s mother—by pushing him to become Bom’s husband, and ultimately, the son-in-law of LX Hotel. Gang Soo, unaware of this hidden agenda, is visibly uncomfortable and is unsure why Bom’s acquaintance is taking such a sudden personal interest in him.
- Meanwhile, after being rejected, Dong Seok shifts completely. Cold and distant, he tells Kwang Sook he only wants to talk about business from now on—nothing more, nothing less.
- Back at Silla Brewery, Dokgo Tak finally hears the truth directly from Han Gyeol: the wedding with Se Ri is off. Furious, Tak realizes Mi Ae has been hiding this from him to avoid conflict. Enraged and betrayed, he storms off to confront Beom Soo, blaming him for whatever happened between him and Se Ri that made her call everything off.
- Kwang Sook, too, reaches her breaking point. She tries to remain composed, but Dong Seok’s sudden coldness cuts deep. Though their businesses are tied and they’ll inevitably cross paths, his indifference is too much to bear. She finally speaks her truth: that ten days was never enough time to make a decision like this, not while her business is still shaky and her responsibilities to the brothers weigh heavily on her heart. But her words don’t seem to reach him. Dong Seok, still bitter, wishes her luck with Eagle Brewery and her brothers, but it is in a tone so dismissive, it pushes Kwang Sook to walk away, furious and hurt.
