  • Meanwhile, Bum Soo pays a tense visit to Dokgo Tak. He pleads with him not to interfere in Gang Soo’s life and to keep Mi Ae’s secret so that Se Ri can’t know the truth. But Dokgo Tak scoffs, blaming Bum Soo for all the chaos. If Bum Soo hadn’t pursued Se Ri, none of these family secrets would’ve unraveled. Dokgo Tak lays it out cold: give up on Se Ri, or the truth comes out. But Bum Soo refuses; he won’t abandon Se Ri. His defiance only fuels Dokgo Tak’s rage.
  • Elsewhere, Kwang Sook quietly asks Chun Soo’s ex-wife to let him go, for his own happiness. Meanwhile, Chun Soo’s daughter, fully aware that her mother is using Eagle Brewery as leverage, threatens to drop out of college if her mom doesn’t stop tormenting her father and return to the States.

  • Gang Soo visits Mi Ae while Dokgo Tak is away, supposedly on a business trip. In truth, he’s off to meet an old accomplice, the same one who helped ruin Eagle Brewery’s name. Mi Ae invites Gang Soo over for a homemade meal, but Dokgo Tak returns earlier than expected. He finds them at the dinner table and explodes. He raises a hand to Mi Ae, but Gang Soo steps in and drops a bomb: “Don’t lay a hand on my mother.” Everyone freezes. Mi Ae and Dokgo Tak are stunned. They thought Gang Soo didn’t know.
  • Gang Soo storms out. Mi Ae follows him, finally opening up about why she left him at Eagle Brewery. She begs for forgiveness. But Gang Soo isn’t just hurt, but he’s angry that she let the truth sit for so long, waiting for him to uncover it on his own. And then it clicks: Se Ri is his younger sister. Mi Ae immediately calls Bum Soo, asking him to look after Gang Soo. Bum Soo finds him, barely able to speak, and asks if he’s okay.
  • Meanwhile, Dong Seok’s ex-mother-in-law comes to visit her grandkids but isn’t thrilled about his relationship with Kwang Sook. Though Gyul and Bom insist she’s a kind woman, the grandmother overhears gossip at the hotel that Kwang Sook is a gold digger.

  • Chun Soo’s longtime friend (and new girlfriend), Mi Soon, offers him a large sum of money to help with his ex-wife and daughter’s tuition. Chun Soo refuses. With gratitude and humility, he thanks her, but won’t take the money. Watching from a distance, his ex-wife reflects on how harshly she treated him and realizes… maybe she can’t stand in the way of this new love.
  • Later, Mi Ae gives Se Ri her blessing to be with Bum Soo, convinced he’ll always stay by her side. Se Ri’s over the moon and runs to share the news with him.
  • Chun Soo’s ex-wife, after finalizing the divorce, says goodbye to everyone. She even offers Bum Soo heartfelt advice, wishing him well with Se Ri. Their goodbye is surprisingly warm—closure, at last.
  • At dinner with Dong Seok’s ex-mother-in-law, Kwang Sook’s liquor leads to a chaotic, drunken scene. The next day, they meet again—this time with Dong Seok. His ex-mother-in-law, Jung Soo, voices her real concern: Kwang Sook’s extended family. Her brother-in-laws are a red flag. Jung Soo bluntly tells Kwang Sook she’s unfit to marry Dong Seok.
