Yoo Seon Ho in Oh My Ghost Clients

Our poor college kid who is just trying his best to make it in life is a ghost, y’all! But how did he get to this stage? Wasn’t he supposed to be riding off into the sunset and the job of his dreams?

Mu Jin is shocked to encounter Yoon Jae’s ghost and to see him lying in a hospital bed. After fainting at work, Yoon Jae is now in a coma, hanging on to life.

Hee Joo and Gyeon Woo are already at the hospital after eating the wrong thing and getting food poisoning, so they join Mu Jin immediately and quickly shift into detective mode, determined to figure out what happened to Yoon Jae.

Thanks to a sudden and heartless hiring freeze, Yoon Jae lost out on the position he was so excited for and ended up working at a massive supermarket, pushing shopping carts in the parking garage during an intense heat wave. The conditions were brutal: no air conditioning, only a 15-minute break every three hours, and water so far away that employees avoided drinking it altogether. In their minds, it almost made sense, since the bathrooms were also ridiculously far away.

When the team tries to get CCTV footage to prove just how tough the working conditions were for Yoon Jae, the company stonewalls them, hiding behind international red tape and blaming everything on decisions made by the U.S. head office. To make matters worse, their helpful deity isn’t lending a hand on this case, despite the team’s attempt to “sort-of” kill Mu Jin so he can get a one-on-one chat with Bo Sol. (He didn’t tell the ghost to find Mu Jin so Mu Jin has to figure this out on his own.)

That’s when Gyeon Woo steps up and goes undercover, exposing the harsh working conditions on his YouTube channel. But instead of sympathy, the first round of comments are full of internet trolls blaming Yoon Jae for being “too weak.” Things look bleak for humanity until Yoon Jae’s old gas station boss steps up to vouch for his character, and is anything but weak. Then, other people start to step up in the comments too—there is hope for humanity after all!

After getting Yoon Jae’s medical checkup showing he was in perfect health, Gyeon Woo sends his video that has 500,000 views and climbing to the U.S. company and says he’ll post it on all his sites. This finally gets the company to relent, and they agree to give them the CCTV videos and pay for all of Yoon Jae’s medical bills as well.

But another problem arises—Yoon Jae has no will to live. After talking with Yoon Jae, Mu Jin realizes that what Yoon Jae needs isn’t just justice – it’s hope. He takes Yoon Jae’s spirit on a surprise trip to the beach, hoping to remind him of the beauty and possibility that still exist in the world and that he can achieve.

Yoon Jae decides to live, not only for himself but also for his loved ones. He even tells Mu Jin to give him a job one day as a labor attorney so he can help others who are struggling like he did. Yoon Jae wakes up in the hospital, surrounded by friends and family, and later joins the Mu Jin team for fried chicken and beer—and the big announcement that Hee Joo and Gyeon Woo are now officially a couple!

The episode ends right back at the hospital when one of Mu Jin’s friends calls him in for some labor law advice. But in the lobby, Mu Jin sees several factory workers rush in, desperate for help. However, no one notices them—because they are all ghosts!

Episode 8 of Oh My Ghost Clients

If you thought the previous ghost cases were serious, episode 8 says, “Hold my soju.” This case is bigger and packed with more ghosts than ever. And these spirits? They’re downright furious!

The episode kicks off with Mu Jin getting a call from a friend at the hospital, asking for help with a work injury claim. While Mu Jin is still debating whether to take the case (his friend’s drinking problem makes things complicated), fate intervenes in the form of a couple of desperate factory workers stumbling into the hospital lobby. No one else sees them, but Mu Jin immediately recognizes that these guys are ghosts and they need help.

Mu Jin brings the ghosts back to his office, where Hee Joo and Gyeon Woo are surprised to find that they now have over half a dozen ghosts to please. They’ve never worked on more than one ghost’s case at a time, but more than that, it’s clear right away that these ghosts aren’t your average lost souls. They’re angry, restless, and determined to get justice for the tragic fire at Bukuk Logistics that took their lives.

In a flashback, we see that the company’s CEO, Mr. Choi, did nothing when the fire started. When the fire broke out, the fire alarms and extinguishers didn’t work, and all exits were blocked. Instead of helping, Mr. Choi ran for his life, leaving his workers trapped and terrified.

As the trio digs deeper, they discover that this isn’t an isolated incident—other factories and warehouses have had similar tragedies, and thanks to loopholes in the labor laws, the people at the top keep dodging real consequences. The ghosts’ anger is justified, but the parent company is huge, and Mu Jin realizes they’re up against a much bigger enemy than usual.

The plot thickens when the team learns that this warehouse company is actually owned by a giant conglomerate, which is already busy trying to cover its tracks by setting up a new company with a fresh name and a new figurehead CEO. Mr. Choi is just the fall guy and is now on the run from some very shady figures (hired by the company) who want to make sure he doesn’t spill any secrets.

Episode 8 of Oh My Ghost Clients

The ghosts are restless and keep Mu Jin up all night with their constant chatter. Gyeon Woo, ever the bold one, uploads a video exposing Myeongum’s connection to Bukuk. Mu Jin and Hee Joo worry this move could put them all in danger, but Gyeon Woo is determined to shake things up.

The trio tries to convince the families of the deceased not to settle for hush money, but with so many struggling financially—especially after losing their loved ones, who were a big source of income—it’s an uphill battle. The company had the paperwork ready to go as soon as an incident took place, so this money is readily available. Plus, it isn’t chump change that the company is offering them; it’s $800,000 to each family!

Just as things seem hopeless, Gyeon Woo gets a call from Mr. Choi, who says he has crucial information that could bring the big corporation to its knees.

Mu Jin heads out to meet Mr. Choi, trailed by a crowd of vengeful ghosts who are itching for payback. The spirits want to hurt Choi physically and would love to use Mu Jin’s body to do it! But Mu Jin manages to dodge their attempts, so the ghosts unleash their fury directly on the figurehead CEO, conjuring a supernatural tornado that lifts Mr. Choi off his feet before dropping him to the ground and knocking him out cold.

When Mr. Choi comes to, Mu Jin urges him to apologize to his workers, and after some hesitation, Choi finally does, breaking down and sincerely admitting his guilt. On top of that, he reveals that the real evidence—a USB drive with everything they need—is hidden in his office refrigerator.

But before he can say more, the mysterious men chasing him show up, and everyone has to scatter. We end with Mu Jin running for his dear life!
