Written by the Hong Sisters (Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran), the story tells the tale of a young man who accidentally frees a gumiho (a nine-tailed shape shifter that often takes the form of a woman). Gumihos are known to be voracious carnivores, who crave organs.
Gulp.
She appears pleasant enough, but he doesn’t want to take any chances. To protect himself and his organs, he takes her out to eat all the time so that she won’t be tempted to turn on him.
Lee plays the fledgling actor/stuntman with the appropriate amount of wide-eyed nervousness. And Shin, who I adored in “Oh My Venus,” plays the otherworldly creature with just the right amount of sass.
This K-Drama premiered in 2010 when Lee was 23 and Shin was 26. While certain style elements are dated by today’s standards, the story of wanting what you can’t have is timeless. Lee wants to become stronger and famous, while Shin longs to become mortal, even though she will lose all her mystical powers. Their eventual romance has a tragic aspect, where one of them could lose their lives.
More recently, netizens fell in love with Lee all over again after his appearances on “Little Forest.” In that reality series, Lee and other celebrities (Lee Seo-jin, Park Na-ra, Jung So-min) operate a daycare center in an environmentally-friendly atmosphere. Little Forest is an escape from the smog and bustle of city life, where children can relax and enjoy fresh air and a serene setting.
It’s not often that someone can steal the screen from Lee. But this absolutely adorable baby does exactly that!
For his part on this variety series, Lee studied and earned a certification in child counseling. He wanted parents to know that when they left their kids in his care, he would know what to do. Yes, the show is entertainment. But he didn’t want the fun to come at the expense of the little ones.
Now 32, he’s tackling more projects than ever. Lee has already completed his mandatory military duty. After having served as a member of the 13th Force Special Forces Brigade, he was discharged on October 31, 2017.
Known as one of South Korea’s most well-liked Triple Threats, he sings, acts and hosts an array of variety shows. He’s also friends with many of Korea’s most famous actors and idols, including EXO’s Sehun:
As such, he’s got quite the busy schedule. His next series is an action thriller called “Vagabond” that will be released this autumn. Ironically, he’ll play another stunt actor, just as he did in “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.”
Lee also said he is looking forward to his upcoming fanmeeting tour, which will take place this October and November in Manila, Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or
