This year has been a whirlwind for talented actor Song Joong Ki. At the beginning of January, he revealed he was dating former actress Katy Louise Saunders. A few weeks later he announced they were married and expecting a baby! Now that baby is here. Song Joong Ki expressed his joy on June 14th through one of his fan cafes:
“As many of you may already know, I’ve finished filming the movie ‘My Name Is Loh Kiwan’ in Hungary. I also had the privilege of attending the Cannes Film Festival with the movie ‘Hopeless,’ and all those moments still feel like a dream. I’m spending blissful days filled with happiness.
Today, I came here to deliver more surreal news to all of you. I finally met my baby in Rome, my wife’s hometown. He is a healthy son. Both the baby and the mother are in good health, and I’m gratefully and happily caring for my family.
This is the most precious gift that has come to my wife and me, who have always dreamed of creating a lifelong happy family. And thanks to the support and well-wishes from many people, such a wonderful day has arrived. I am grateful.”
He sounds so happy! Many fans are sending their best wishes and saying the baby will be adorable with Song Joong Ki and Katy Louise Saunder’s genes. We certainly can’t wait to catch a glimpse of the kid. He’s already royalty when it comes to the world of Korean entertainment.

Another person who shocked the K-Pop world with news of becoming a father is iKon’s Bobby. He posted about it in August 2021 and his son came along in September.
Taeyang (Big Bang)
Taeyang has been married to actress Min Hyo Rin since 2018. Before that, they dated a while so they are kind of a staple in the Korean entertainment industry as far as couples go. They became parents to a baby boy on December 2021, and Taeyang says his son looks just like his mom.
Changmin (TVXQ)
TVXQ was the first group I stanned so it’s crazy to imagine any of them as parents. Nevertheless, Changmin and his wife welcomed their first child on October 18, 2022 and I couldn’t be happier for the second gen. golden maknae.
Chansung (2PM)
Chansung is another second gen. celeb who is now a father. Him and his wife had a baby girl on July 26, 2022 and fans dubbed her “2PM’s First Princess”. What an awesome title!
