Dong Seok’s ex-mother-in-law is meddling in his relationship with Kwang Sook, firmly believing that Kwang Sook’s background doesn’t match Dong Seok’s lifestyle. However, Dong Seok reassures Kwang Sook that her opinion will never stand in the way of his determination to marry her.

Kang Soo is left with a heavy heart after parting ways with Mi Ae following a harsh exchange. He worries that his words may have caused her real pain.

With Mi Ae now approving of her relationship, Se Ri is living in bliss. During a walk with Ha Ni, bystanders gush over how adorable the baby is and how much she resembles Se Ri. While Se Ri can’t hide her joy, Ha Ni’s biological mother witnesses the scene and becomes furious, feeling replaced by Se Ri.

Dong Seok’s ex-mother-in-law visits Eagle Brewery to confront Kwang Sook. But Kwang Sook doesn’t back down and shares her own thoughts on remarriage. The ex-mother-in-law insists that once they marry, Kwang Sook should fully become part of Dong Seok’s family. But Kwang Sook expresses her desire to stay connected to Eagle Brewery and her brother-in-law’s family. The tension between their views leaves Kwang Sook rattled. As the ex-mother-in-law storms out, she unknowingly drops her bottle of medication on Kwang Sook’s sofa.
Kang Soo gets the chance to model in the LX Fashion runway show. Mi Ae, hearing the news, sneaks in to watch him from afar. Their eyes meet during the show, and afterward, Kang Soo stops her before she can leave. He apologizes for his previous words and tells her not to pity him; he’s made peace with the life he’s chosen.
Meanwhile, Mi Ae overhears Dokgo Tak’s secret plan to bring down Eagle Brewery. He’s pooling funds from other departments to do so, a risky move that could end in disaster.
The ex-mother-in-law summons Dong Seok, Gyul, and Bom for an important announcement. But when Dong Seok finds out Kwang Sook was injured at work, he rushes her to the hospital, missing the meeting. Feeling hurt and disrespected, the ex-mother-in-law decides to withhold the announcement she had planned to make.
Se Ri comes home to the sound of her parents arguing. During the heated exchange, several shocking truths come to light: a past embezzlement, Kang Soo’s identity as Mi Ae’s son, and Dokgo Tak’s renewed plot to destroy Eagle Brewery. Se Ri bursts into the room, demanding to know if it’s all true. Mi Ae breaks down, devastated that Se Ri was the one to hear everything.
Kang Soo soon finds out Se Ri knows the truth and feels deeply guilty for her pain.

Meanwhile, the ex-mother-in-law frantically searches for her missing medication. During her search, she runs into Ju Sil, and the two realize they’re both Dong Seok’s mothers-in-law.
Kwang Sook finds a pill bottle labeled with the name Park Jung Soo and later realizes it belongs to Dong Seok’s ex-mother-in-law. She also discovers that the pills are prescribed for Alzheimer’s. Concerned, Kwang Sook rushes to return them. Despite their rocky relationship, she begins to understand why Jung Soo has acted so coldly.
Chun Soo finally marries his childhood friend Mi Sun, and the two host a grand feast. Kwang Sook packs food and pays an unexpected visit to Jung Soo. Caught off guard, Jung Soo listens as Kwang Sook expresses a desire to be like a daughter to her, a source of emotional support. Jung Soo is clearly flustered by the gesture.
