And here we are in the final two episodes that wrap up the huge corporation negligence scandal (as well as the entire show), and man, there are big thrills ahead!

Your recaps for episodes 9 and 10 of “Oh My Ghost Clients” are below!

Oh My Ghost Clients Recap Episode 9

Seor In A and Cha Hak Yeon in Oh My Ghost Clients

We start the episode with Team Mujin worrying about their boss and friend, Mu Jin. They haven’t heard from him all night and know he was going to meet with the manager.

Mu Jin is actually doing fine—he’s just at the police station. He finds a way out of the station without getting arrested, but while he’s reassuring Team Mujin that he’s okay, he gets abducted!

Mu Jin is manhandled and taken to a gangster’s hideout, where they demand to know the manager’s whereabouts. All the ghosts go with Mu Jin and are heartbroken that they can’t do anything to stop him from getting beaten up.

The good news is that the gangsters get word that the manager has an external storage device in his fridge with incriminating evidence against the huge corporation, so they leave Mu Jin to go retrieve it. This gives Mu Jin a chance to escape using only some wooden chopsticks and a hefty dose of hope and a prayer.

Without Mu Jin, the other two members of the team—Gyeon Woo and Hee Joo—head to the warehouse to search for the USB stored inside the fridge, and they find it! The only problem is, the gangsters are there too, so they have to defend themselves while frantically scrambling out of the building. However, Hee Joo accidentally drops the USB, leaving it in the hands of the gangsters.

Yes, she feels horrible about that.

After meeting up with a very beaten and exhausted Mu Jin at their office, they break the bad news, and Mu Jin tells them he just needs to rest. But when he goes home, he finds out that the manager allegedly killed himself! Now they don’t have the USB, and they don’t have the manager’s testimony.

After sleeping the day away (which he desperately needed), Mu Jin attends the manager’s funeral. Afterwards, he makes a plan with the ghosts on how to get their justice.

However, he does not share this plan with Gyeon Woo or Hee Joo because he doesn’t want them to get in trouble. Instead, Gyeon Woo and Hee Joo think Mu Jin is giving up and breaking up with them. Hee Joo is especially mad at him.

Mu Jin’s plan is to use the ghosts’ special anger power to defeat the corporate giants. So, after a pep talk in the building’s stairwell, where Mu Jin gets the ghosts upset enough to cause chaos, he storms into the corporate meeting room and uses all the ghosts’ power to shake, rattle, and roll these business people (and one politician) around until they confess! Gyeon Woo and Hee Joo run in at this moment too, because they didn’t believe Mu Jin earlier and have been tracking him ever since he was abducted.

But then, a huge crack forms in the room—which was not caused by the ghosts—and the ceiling caves in!

Oh My Ghost Clients Recap Episode 10

Chung Kyung Ho in Oh My Ghost Clients

Oh snap, the roof caved in, and the corporates, Team Mujin, two construction workers, and one politician are trapped in this broken, crumbling building.

Several of the corporate employees and the politician’s aide immediately ditch everyone and try to escape in the elevator. It’s a pretty evil move since they leave the politician trapped under a piece of the ceiling, helpless. However, they get their karma because the elevator plummets, sending them to their deaths.

The politician cannot believe the corporations were going to leave her there to die when they were the ones who called the meeting to get her to grant corporate favors. She was all ready to do it, too—until the roof caved in.

While trying to escape, we find out that this building was not built to code at all. The helicopter pad on the roof wasn’t built to code, so a helicopter can’t land on it. The emergency lights and fire sprinkler systems also don’t work, and the building keeps cracking because it was constructed during the rainy season, even though the workers warned that the cement wouldn’t set properly.

The CEO continuously denies responsibility and does “not my fault” gymnastics to flip the blame onto anyone else. But when the floor collapses and the CEO sacrifices one of the construction workers to save himself, everyone realizes this guy is pure evil.

The CEO tries to deny responsibility again, but he gets put into the same scenario when the floor cracks and he is left holding on for dear life. Mu Jin and the team try to save the CEO, but Mu Jin decides to let go of the floor and fall into the hole with the CEO.

The CEO wakes up in the deity’s all-white and turquoise office with Mu Jin, the deity, and the angry ghosts waiting for him. The deity offers him a contract listing all the wrongs the CEO must right to stay alive and not burn in the depths of hell. It’s very convincing to say yes when it appears that demons are rising up out of the ground to claim the CEO for themselves!

The CEO agrees, and the deity sends everyone back to the conference room of the building before the huge crack forms and the building starts to crumble. The CEO lives up to his agreement and immediately evacuates the building and starts to address all the wrongs his company committed, starting with the warehouse fire. Team Mujin has done it again!

The rest of the episode is spent saying goodbye to our ghost friends and wrapping up loose ends with Mu Jin. The ghosts see their families one last time and head pleasantly into the afterworld. Mu Jin gets the surprise of his life when his bitcoin rebounds by something like 700 or 800%, earning back his and his wife’s retirement fund and then some—which his wife is very grateful for and happily accepts him back (she looked like she was going to bring him back eventually anyway, but getting that money back definitely helped!).

We also find out why Mu Jin was picked. He is the son of a working-class family, his brother died in a wrongful death case with a corporation, and Mu Jin is a labor attorney. He could see these cases from all sides, making him the perfect person for these otherworldly cases.

Mu Jin and the team say goodbye to the deity in the end, but while walking away, Mu Jin hears someone ask, “Labor attorney Noh Mu Jin?” He turns around slowly, sees who it is, and yells, “What now!”—indicating that he might not be done with these special cases after all.

And that’s a wrap for “Oh My Ghost Clients”! I really enjoyed catching these episodes each week and finding out what ghosts Mu Jin and the team were going to meet and get justice for. It was thoroughly satisfying to see the bad bosses and corporations get their comeuppance, with some levity and quirkiness thrown in to boot.

We hope you all enjoyed these episodes (go on and binge them all now—we know you want to!), and we’ll see you on the next K-Drama recap on KOCOWA+!
