Comedic Korean dramas usually have the most lighthearted storylines with simple plots, but they are definitely here to brighten up your day when you need a good laugh!

Below are some of the best that would keep you laughing throughout.

1. Perfume (2019)

MAIN LEADS: Shin Sung-Rok, Go Won-Hee, Ha Jae-Suk.

PLOT: Min Jae-Hee (Ha Jae-Suk) devoted her life to her family, but her husband Kim Tae-Joon (Jo Han-Chul) isn’t thankful for that. Instead, he’s embarrassed being together with her in public areas. A mysterious perfume was sent to Min Jae-Hee, and she could transform into a young, beautiful woman with that. With her newly found appearance, Min Jae-Hee meets Seo Yi-Do (Shin Sung-Rok), an eccentric fashion designer.

WATCH THIS FOR: Fashion designer Seo Yi-Do’s silly antics and his childish, yet adorable interactions with the other characters in the drama.

2. The Fiery Priest (2019)

MAIN LEADS: Kim Nam-Gil, Kim Sung-Kyun, Lee Ha-Nee.

PLOT: Kim Hae-Il (Kim Nam-Gil) is a Catholic priest who is bad-tempered and can be rude at times. Detective Koo Dae-Young (Kim Sung-Kyun) and Prosecutor Park Kyung-Sun (Lee Ha-Nee) have both succumbed to corruption. To solve the mysteries behind the death of a senior Catholic priest, Father Kim Hae-Il is somehow forced to work with them.

WATCH THIS FOR: Father Kim Hae-Il who breaks all stereotypes of priests. For one, he’s a priest capable of beating up people to a pulp. The drama also gives equal attention to its supporting characters, making them as interesting and as important as the leads.

3. Spring Turns to Spring (2019)

MAIN LEADS: Lee Yu-Ri, Uhm Ji-Won, Lee Jong-Hyuk.

PLOT: Kim Bo-Mi (Lee Yu-Ri) is a self-centered and ambitious anchorwoman. Lee Bom (Uhm Ji-Won) used to be a famous actress but has retired and is a housewife. The two get to experience each other’s lives after switching bodies.

WATCH THIS FOR: Kim Bo-Mi and Lee Bom’s hilarious ways of trying to adapt to each other’s lives, which are often… leading to disastrous situations. What sets this drama apart from this overused plot is their involuntary body switches that happen multiple times randomly. And when they experience another body switch, that’s when you can look forward to them doing something peculiar and funny which would give you bouts of laughter.

4. Splash Splash Love (2015)

MAIN LEADS: Yoon Doo-Joon, Kim Seul-Gi, Jin Ki-Joo.

PLOT: Senior high school student Jang Dan-Bi (Kim Seul-Gi) jumps into a water puddle and was transported back to the Joseon period. She meets King Lee Do (Yoon Do-Joon) when his country is suffering from drought.

WATCH THIS FOR: Young and quick-witted Jang Dan-Bi who has no fear for the king and treats him like he’s her best friend. It’s also interesting to see people in the royal palace getting amazed by every modern item and idea she has. The drama is only 2 episodes long, which could easily be quick fixes to a long and tiring day.
